Overall I was disappointed with my performance in this tournament but I was happy and proud to compete alongside my teammates who did great in their divisions. I learned my wrestling and wrestle-ups are currently lacking so it's time to go back to work in these areas.

Imanari Jiujitsu wins the gold team trophy at the ASJJF Kanto Open No-Gi - points comp in Tokyo.

My team mate Aldo and I both won double gold edging our two-man team into first place at the comp. Aldo got his wins with a 100% sub rate over four hard fought matches. Thank you to Byron for being in our corners and thanks to my coaches and teammates for all their support. .gamboa1

Imanari Jiujitsu at FINISH 11 - sub only cage grappling comp in Tokyo. The next comp we'll enter as a team will be the JBJJF 11th All Japan No-Gi on 8/26.

Greetings from 10th Planet Seoul! 🇰🇷

Touched down in Incheon at 5:00 today and couldn't wait to get on the mats. I had the privilege of training at 10th Planet Seoul, and had a blast! 🚀

The energy was electric and the hospitality was top-notch. Shout-out to Coach MK who delved deep into the
Octopus Guard system. 🐙

The sparring session afterwards was great as well. I rolled with some true studs, and my gas tank was put to the test. 🔥

These brothers welcomed me with open arms, and I'm grateful for their hospitality. 🙏

Just had an amazing day at the May Grand Sumo Tournament with my crew! 🤼‍♂️ It's incredible to think that professional sumo wrestlers compete in six tournaments each year, each lasting 15 days. That's a whopping 90 matches per year! 💪

And let's talk about their size - the average sumo wrestler weighs in at around 227 kilograms (500 pounds). The heaviest ever? That would be Orora, tipping the scales at a massive 294 kilograms (650 pounds). And on the lighter side, we have Takanohana at a mere 120 kilograms (265 pounds). 🏋️‍♂️

Even though we were watching from the second floor, these giants were impossible to miss. It's a whole different world, and I'm grateful to have experienced it with my jiujitsu brothers and . 🙏
