We are currently experiencing service disruptions affecting some servers hosted on Hetzner Cloud (Nuremberg, Germany) due to a network infrastructure issue on the provider's side.

As a result, some websites and services may be temporarily inaccessible or experience intermittent connectivity issues.

According to Hetzner, their engineering team is actively investigating and working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. We are closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates as soon as more information becomes available.

At this time, there is no indication of data loss. The issue appears to be limited to network connectivity within the affected infrastructure.

🚨 Security Update: Critical Nginx Vulnerability

A critical vulnerability has been disclosed in Nginx — CVE-2026-42945 ("NGINX Rift"), CVSS 9.2. It allows unauthenticated remote code ex*****on
and affects Nginx versions up to 1.30.0.

We've enabled one-click Nginx updates

FlashPanel now supports upgrading Nginx directly from the dashboard, and automatically tracks the latest stable release from nginx.org (currently
1.30.1 — the patched version).

Update your server now

1. Open Server → Applications → Nginx
2. Click Update
3. Done — zero downtime, finishes in under a minute

A few FlashPanel servers experienced a short service interruption due to an issue during the NGINX repository migration process.

While migrating from ppa:ondrej/nginx to the official NGINX repository, the nginx-common package was unexpectedly removed by apt autoremove, which caused NGINX configuration loss on some servers.

As a result, some websites became temporarily inaccessible, while the underlying services and data remained unaffected.

The issue has been resolved and all affected services are back online.

Following this incident, FlashPanel will introduce:

automatic NGINX configuration backups
faster configuration recovery
additional safeguards for critical system packages

🛠️ 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘀 𝘂𝗽 — 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀!
Earlier this week, some of you may have hit a strange error when installing 𝗡𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘅 or 𝗣𝗛𝗣 on a new server in FlashPanel:
ERROR: ppa 'ondrej/nginx' not found (use --login if private)
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱? This wasn't a FlashPanel bug — it was caused by an outage at 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹'𝘀 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗽𝗮𝗱 infrastructure on May 1, 2026, after a large-scale cyberattack hit several of their services (ppa.launchpad.net, archive.ubuntu.com, the Snap Store, and more). When the Launchpad API went down, the standard Ubuntu tool apt-add-repository could no longer look up the PPA and gave that misleading "not found" message — even though the PPA itself was perfectly fine.
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝘅𝗲𝗱: ✅ FlashPanel now installs Nginx and PHP with a smart 𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸: if Launchpad's API is unreachable, we automatically configure the PPA the manual way (direct repository URL + Ondřej Surý's official GPG key). Your installs will keep working even if Canonical has another bad day. ✅ We also cleaned up a couple of related rough edges — leftover source files after a failed retry, and a harmless-but-noisy warning the first time a site's Nginx config is synced.
If you saw this error on a server, just 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹 — it'll go through cleanly now.
