Uechi is one of the "big three" of the Okinawan karate styles, and we practice it the way it was designed: to be a realistic method of fighting. But being able to fight and win in a tournament is only part of it. Karate is more than just a martial art: it's about applicable fighting techniques practiced with honour. It's about power.
