reached out and we chatted about building a few boards for him. I’ve been traveling for the last three and a half years coaching on the challenger series and building boards abroad. Currently I’m in bali, so i suggested that because I’m not home he should shape them himself since he’s been shaping a few for himself lately. I sent the files to for Jack to finish.
I’m happy to share and support Jack with his journey into shaping, my father helped and shared his knowledge with many shapers and I try to help if anyone reaches out. We realize that we’re part of a special community in a unique trade you can’t learn in school or a classroom and giving always comes back full circle.
It’s good to see great surfers shaping too and when Jack begins to correlate a design and numbers to a feeling then the fun really begins.
