Heading off to Pioneer Park Speedway in Ayr for the first time 🏁 and this will be our last time travelling with the Luxy! 😔

Night one done and dusted. 🏁
Heat 1 Seth pulled position 2 in the pill draw and finished 1st. 🥇
Heat 2 he started 8th and worked his way through the field to finish 4th.
Seth wasn’t in heat 3, it’s the way the draw went.
For the Feature Seth started 3rd, he lost all power steering on the formation lap. 😫
He actually got a pretty good start but was pinned for jumping (bit of a BS call, but that’s racing) so they did a restart and made Seth start back in 5th.
He spent the whole race battling his steering wheel and managed to come away with 3rd place and a $500 cash prize thanks to DC Mechanical Repairs. 🥉💰

This event is a big one for the Cairns Speedway, it's a great family night out, make sure you stay until the end when they open the pits up, great fun for the kids, they can get photos with the drivers & the cars, some of the teams have posters, stickers and merch.

Unfortunately due to injury Seth won't be cleared to race in Townsville next weekend.
Seth will now have a month off racing and hopefully he is back to good health and ready to go for Thunder in the Canefields!

Last night started off with a win and ended with a roll over! 🫣
Heat 1 Seth started 1st and finished 1st
Heat 2 started 7th and finished 4th
Heat 3 he started 6th and finished 2nd
In the Feature Seth started 1st, he hit a rut on the first lap and spun out which restarted the race. He was in 2nd position on the 5th lap when he hit another rut which caused something to either come loose or break in the LH front suspension causing the brake calliper to snap off. When this happened Seth had no steering and no brakes and went straight into the wall and flipped the car. 😳
He was winded and jarred his back but managed to get himself out of the car and walk away.
He’s quite sore today but he’s doing ok! 👌
The car is now in pieces and being assessed for damage! 😭 Not sure when we will be back on the track but next weekend has been cancelled for the Formula 500s.
Shout out to those who helped Seth and came over to check on him. Thanks to Shane & Rob for their help in the pits and to the family and friends who came out to support Seth.
