前回に続いて、今回はこの取り組みに込めた想いをご紹介します。
「パブリックリペアステーションは、自転車を直す場所から、人と社会をつなぐ場所へ。」
利用者一人ひとりがメンテナンスに関わり、自転車を長く大切に使う「リペア文化」を育てながら、人・地域・環境・社会をつなぐ「公共インフラ」として、新たな価値を広げていきます。
今回、国際基督教大学（ICU）様の先進的な取り組みに携わることができたことを、とても嬉しく思います。
All Bikes Japanは、国や地域を越えて価値をつなぎ、日本の暮らしや地域に適したサイクルインフラを提案してまいります。

国際基督教大学（ICU）に、国内大学初※となる常設型パブリックリペアステーション「SCANDIC」が導入されました。
ICUは、1953年に東京都三鷹市に献学（建学）した、日本初の4年制リベラルアーツ・カレッジ。
日英バイリンガル教育と対話を重視した少人数教育を通じて、国際社会で活躍できる人材の育成に取り組まれています。
キャンパスで自転車を利用する学生や教職員の皆さまが、いつでも気軽にメンテナンスできる環境が整いました。
自転車を大切に使い続ける文化を育み、持続可能なキャンパスづくりを支える新たな一歩です。

Public repair station, “SCANDIC,” is now available at International Christian University (ICU) — believed to be the first of its kind at a university in Japan.*
International Christian University (ICU), founded in 1953 in Mitaka, Tokyo, is Japan’s first four-year liberal arts college. The university is committed to educating students who can make a positive impact on the international stage through bilingual Japanese-English education and small-group learning centered on dialogue.
Students, faculty, and staff who ride bicycles around campus now have a convenient place to maintain their bikes whenever they need.
It’s a new step toward creating a sustainable campus and fostering a culture of taking care of and keeping bicycles in use for longer.
