Harada Seminar Chuo U.

卒業後６年経過するゼミOB会に呼ばれ、２年ぶりに参加。今年２８歳とまだまだ若い彼らだけど、半分が結婚し、家や子供をどうするかを考えている。
I was invited to a reunion of my seminar alumni, marking six years since graduation. It was nice to see that everyone was doing well.

新年度に3年になる新ゼミのメンバーで、半日集まりました。次の3年はゼミ長が3人で、頼もしい限りです。
遅いお昼はピザを頼みました。
We had a half-day gathering with the seminar members who will become third-year students in the new academic year. We ordered pizza for a late lunch.

A small group from my third-year seminar decided to visit the Tokyo Stock Exchange during the school festival — we even joined a lecture there!
３年ゼミで東京証券取引所を訪問し、講義を受けました。最近は日銀も東証もとても人気のようで、大勢の人でした。次年度からは半年前くらいに準備しないと、と思う。

We’re very grateful to Bloomberg for hosting us for over two hours. They arranged a seminar, a tour of the building, and talks by alumni from our university—and even gave students a souvenir at the end.
Bloombergでは2時間以上にわたり、レクシャー、ツアー、OBお二人によるお話をしていただきました。プレゼントまでもらって皆大満足でした。最後の写真は少しタイミングがずれて、集合できなかった人もいたのが残念。

7月2日、ゼミで貨幣博物館、三井住友ライジング・スクエアに行き、TSUTAYAシェアラウンジで休憩しました。
We visited the Currency Museum and enjoyed some time at a shared lounge in the city.

1年生のベーシック演習。いつもは教室で授業ですが、この日は体育館でバレーボール。貸し切りで盛り上がりました。授業では日英プレゼンの上達を目指しますが、図書館研修、キャリア研修、ライティングラボやボランティアセンターとも接点を持ちます。外部講師をお招きしたり、いろいろな企画も。パンを大量に焼き、皆のランチに。
Baked bread like a baker on Sunday — it became lunch for the first-year students in Monday’s basic seminar. They had fun playing volleyball. Usually, we sit in the classroom working on PCs, but this time we played in the gym.

今年は国際マーケティング学科の学生さんが多く、前期は「ITパスポート」とOfficeの習得が優先順位になりました。

Seminar alumni gathering. These graduates, now 30 or 31, are all doing well in their own careers.
ゼミのOB会がありました。今年30、31になるOBたち。研修医や医学生、アメリカの大学院に通う社会人、お寺の住職さん、監査法人からビーガンの認証機関に転職する人、金融機関やメーカー勤務の人たち、様々に活躍中、頼もしい限り。

秋学期の授業、終了。1年生の演習の最終回に、パンとカヌレを大量に焼いて持っていき、早いランチを兼ねました。学生さんの年齢と自分の子供の年齢が近いので、演習等だと気分は”親”…

The fall semester has ended. In a small class for freshmen, I baked lots of bread and canelé, and we enjoyed chatting together.

2021年3月卒業のゼミOBたちの集まりに参加してきました。3年生の時は普通にゼミをし、タイにゼミ合宿に行き、4年生になる直前からコロナ禍となり、大変だった1年間を過ごしたゼミOBたち。卒業後3年だとまだ雰囲気も変わらずでした。
I attended a gathering of students who graduated in March 2021. It was a reunion after three years.

3月25日、第141回の卒業式でした。
5年目に単位取得の上限を取得して無事卒業していったゼミ生もいて、感慨深く、しみじみ良かったと思う卒業式でした。
On a graduation day as cold as winter, it feels good to see the hardworking students graduate.

2016年3月に卒業したゼミOBたちと（ベーシック演習OBたち）の集まりへ。
2人は医学生、1人は会計士、1人はアメリカの会社で働くという大活躍の皆さん。
