Yesterday, we visited a huge lotus pond near our area. 🪷

We were late this season, and upon arriving we realised that we found the very last lotus.

What a beautiful happening. ✨ And a mark of the seasons changing.

(Location: Fujieda Futatsuike Park, a 20 min drive away from Yui Valley, accessible by Car.)

The summer days are getting cooler at Yui Valley. But we still hear the sounds of cicadas singing in the afternoon and early mornings. And enjoy cool dips in the river.

We recently had a special day, celebrating our union in a beautiful temple in Kyoto wearing traditional Japanese Kimono. ✨

Thank you to all our friends, family and people around us for your support and blessings. 🕊️

We feel grateful to share this journey together , and excited for what’s to come!

What a beautiful hydrangea season it’s been 💐 and a wonderful year so far at Yui Valley.

The Hydrangea season is a special time of the year where our garden lights up in shades of pinks, blues and purples.

We love to watch the whole life of the flower. From the beginning with its vibrant captivating colours.

To the last stages, where the petals fade, they soften, and the colours mix together… giving this Wabi Sabi texture.

We would like to say a big Thank you to all our guests for staying with us. We are so grateful to host you all.

And We hope you enjoyed the hydrangeas and beauty of nature around us 🕊️

A hand-made weaved bamboo coffee filter in the country side of Japan. It’s paperless as the special weave pattern of the bamboo perfectly holds ground coffee. 🌿

We reccommend using finely grounded coffee for the perfect drip. One person per serving.

The new filter is now made only by outer bamboo skin, giving a polished finished and longer lasting material.
