This book changed my life.

If you’re sitting on a book idea, I urge you to start writing today.

I didn’t know exactly where it would lead. I simply committed to writing one paragraph a day because that felt like an easy enough challenge to keep.

One paragraph became a manuscript.
The manuscript became a book.
And this book has opened doors for me that I could have never imagined.

It has taken me into rooms I never expected to be in, created opportunities I never could have planned, and allowed me to share a message I’ve carried in my heart for years: happiness is something we can deliberately choose, even when life doesn’t go according to plan.

So if there’s a book inside of you, just start.

You don’t have to write the whole book today.

Write the paragraph. Then write another one tomorrow.

You never know where those paragraphs might take you. ✨

This blessing changed my life. And I hope your idea changes yours, too!

Recently, I had the opportunity to deliver a keynote on Strategic Happiness for one of the Top 40 CPA and business advisory firms in the U.S.

One idea I shared with the audience is this:

Strategic happiness isn't about feeling good all the time. It's about intentionally creating the conditions that help people and organizations perform at their best.

When leaders treat well-being as a strategy rather than a perk, the ripple effects extend far beyond morale. They influence engagement, decision-making, resilience, collaboration, and ultimately, performance.

Three ideas every organization can apply:
1. Design work environments that support energy, not just productivity.
2. Build habits that make recognition and appreciation part of your culture.
3. Remember that people don't just drive results, they are the strategy.

I love helping organizations create workplaces where people flourish and performance follows.

Thank you again, Doeren Mayhew for the opportunity!

What are you doing to help your people flourish, not just function?

Research shows that employees who are truly thriving in their well-being are significantly less likely to experience burnout and are far more engaged in their work.

Burnout is not simply the absence of rest. It's often the absence of well-being.

The organizations that will thrive in the future won't just focus on reducing burnout. They'll intentionally cultivate environments where people can flourish.

Happiness isn't just something nice to have. It's one of the strongest drivers of engagement, resilience, and performance.

This week, make one intentional decision that helps someone on your team flourish, not just function.

Happiness is strategic.

5 hidden drivers behind career happiness. Or how to make 90,000 hours of your life worth it 04/06/2026

“Sustainable career happiness comes from appreciating the path while you are on it, not postponing fulfilment until some imagined future version of success.” This really stood out to me.

We often treat happiness as something we’ll access after the next achievement… but in doing so, we quietly delay our own lives.

If work takes up ~90,000 hours of our life, the real question becomes:

Are we actually living those hours, or just completing them?

What helps you feel more present and fulfilled in your career right now?

5 hidden drivers behind career happiness. Or how to make 90,000 hours of your life worth it Meaningful metrics to help understand what we want and recognize success when we get it.

Fun isn't the same as happiness — but it might be the fastest path to it, according to researchers and authors who study joy: Our Best Life 01/06/2026

As we kick off June, this quote caught my attention:

"Far from being frivolous, fun is absolutely essential for a well-lived and joyful life. If you use fun as your compass, you will be happier and healthier. You will be more productive, less resentful, and less stressed."

As adults and leaders, we often treat fun as something we'll get to after the work is done. But what if we've got it backwards? What if fun isn't a reward for success, but one of the ingredients that helps create it?

When we're engaged, playful, connected, and fully present, we tend to show up with more energy, creativity, resilience, and optimism.

As we begin a new month, here's my question: What is one activity that brings you genuine fun, and are you intentionally making time for it?

Fun isn't the same as happiness — but it might be the fastest path to it, according to researchers and authors who study joy: Our Best Life In this stage, we’re more likely to complain about our to-dos than plan things we want to do.
