🚀 TEMPORARY AIRSPACE RESTRICTIONS
The JCAA is advising that temporary airspace restrictions are scheduled for Thursday, July 16, in connection with the planned SpaceX Starship Flight 13 launch.
Some flights departing Jamaica may experience delays, route changes, temporary holding or rerouting during the affected period. Passengers are encouraged to remain in contact with their airlines for the latest flight information.

Advancing aviation safety in Jamaica. ✈️
Jamaica is progressing with the implementation of its State Safety Programme, a national framework for strengthening how civil aviation safety risks are managed across the sector.
At the JCAA, members of our team have been engaged in key implementation activities with the support of ICAO Subject Matter Expert, Ms. Bongekile Mtlokwa, whose technical guidance has helped to shape areas such as the gap analysis and prioritised roadmap.
This work continues to advance steadily, reflecting the focus and commitment of the team supporting this important national aviation safety initiative.

Strengthening regional partnerships through shared expertise. ✈️
The Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority was pleased to host representatives of the Cayman Islands Airport Authority (CIAA) for a technical visit which included tours of the Aeronautical Information Management (AIM), Air Traffic Management (ATM) and Communication, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) facilities at the Norman Manley International Airport and the JCAA Headquarters.
Engagements like these support collaboration among regional aviation partners and contribute to the continued development of safe, efficient and interconnected air navigation services across the Caribbean.

Mrs. Sabrina Cross-Warner, General Counsel at the Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority, is participating in the Fourth Civil Aviation Legal Advisers Forum (CALAF/4) in Nassau, Bahamas.
