Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial art that includes music, song and acrobatics. It develops good balance, strength and stamina, spatial awareness and physical confidence. Corujinha has been teaching Capoeira in Jersey on and off for 20 years. Starting out in Florianopolis with Mestre Pop and Grupo Aú, during her study year abroad in Florianopolis in 1998-99 and then a month at Sul da Bahia Aca
