What a way to spend a summer evening. ☀️🍹

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for this year's Digital Jersey Summer Social.

From the giant deckchair and summer décor to fresh tapas, chilled drinks and the Jersey Gelato cart, the Hub had all the ingredients for a relaxed summer evening. It was fantastic to see the Hub filled with such a great atmosphere from start to finish.

Most importantly, it was a chance to step away from the day-to-day, catch up with one another and celebrate the incredible community we've built together.

Thank you for making another Summer Social such a memorable evening. We can't wait to do it all again next year.

Official event update: we've reached the point in the evening where choosing between another Summer Spritz or heading back for another gelato has become today's biggest decision. 🍦🍹

The Hub is now buzzing with members, the summer playlist is in full swing and the atmosphere is exactly what we were hoping for.

Fresh tapas have been making the rounds all evening, the drinks have been flowing thanks to The Secret Bartender, DJ Elsie has kept the soundtrack going, and the Jersey Gelato cart has proved just as popular as we'd hoped.

If this is what summer meetings look like, we'd happily accept every invite.

After a busy few months, we're looking forward to an evening of catching up with familiar faces, meeting new ones, enjoying the summer vibes and making the most of some well-earned time together. Youth Hackathon 2026 gives students aged 12+ the chance to spend two days solving real challenges, building a tech solution and pitching their ideas to industry professionals.

Hosted by Digital Jersey and Prosperity 24/7, it's a chance to build confidence, meet like-minded young people and learn new skills in a fun, supportive environment.

No coding experience is needed. Students can join with friends, come as a team or sign up on their own and we'll help them get started.

How do we help more young people build digital careers in Jersey?

In her latest Bailiwick Express vodcast, Charlie Miles shares why creating a clear STEM pathway is key to developing local talent, giving young people the skills employers need, and showing them the wide range of opportunities available across the island.

As Charlie says: "STEM is a subject that any kid can be good at."
