The response to our first ever outdoor A Night of Champions at The Weighbridge has been incredible, and we’re now down to our final couple of tables for Saturday 5th September.

This is shaping up to be a very special night for Jersey boxing. 🇯🇪

We’ve tried to create something a little different with this one, bringing a proper big-fight atmosphere into the heart of St Helier, while showcasing some of the brilliant young boxing talent we have here in Jersey.

🥊 Jersey Boxing Academy’s First Ever Junior Boxer of the Month! 🏆

A huge congratulations to Gobind Hallaith, who has been crowned our very first Junior Boxer of the Month! 👏

Over the past month, Gobind has been outstanding, at every session, giving 100% effort, and making fantastic improvements in both his boxing and overall attitude. His commitment and hard work have really stood out, making him a deserving winner. 💪

A special mention also goes to Charlie Belchamber, who came incredibly close to taking the title. It was so tight between the two that we had to settle it with a dead hang challenge on the pull-up bar, and there was just one second separating them! 😅👏

The Boxer of the Month Belt is back up for grabs throughout August, and it could be anyone’s. It won’t necessarily go to the most talented boxer. It will be awarded to the junior who consistently demonstrates commitment, discipline, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.

Who will be wearing the belt next month? 🥊🏆

🎉🥊 Happy Birthday to the one and only Ian “The Pad Man” Dunbar! 🥊🎉

Today we’re celebrating a man who has become the heartbeat of Jersey Boxing Academy.

While most people would be enjoying a well-earned day off on their birthday, Ian is probably somewhere holding pads, designing new drills, shouting “Styles win fights!” or reminding everyone that “Discipline is key!” 😂

As we head towards our biggest show of the year in September, Ian has been working his socks off preparing the entire stable. The hours he puts in behind the scenes often go unnoticed, but the results certainly don’t. Every boxer who steps through our doors benefits from his passion, experience and relentless commitment to making them better.💪

If you ever wondered what dedication looks like, look no further than Ian. He’s the first one in, the last one out, and somehow still finds another combination or drill to keep everyone on their toes. The stubborn old mule will probably spend his birthday thinking about boxing instead of celebrating! 🤣

His standards are high because he genuinely cares, and that’s exactly why he’s one of the finest coaches around. He lives and breathes the sport, and Jersey Boxing Academy is a far better club because of him. 🙏

From all of your boxing family, thank you for everything you do, every hour you give and every boxer you’ve helped along the way. 🖤🤍
