💔 WE'RE SO SORRY... TODAY'S FLYING DISPLAY HAS BEEN CANCELLED
This is the post we never wanted to write.
After monitoring the forecasts right up until this morning, we've had to make the incredibly difficult decision to cancel today's Jersey Model Aero Club Flying Display.
The weather has deteriorated beyond what was expected, with stronger winds and low cloud making it impossible for us to deliver the safe, enjoyable display that everyone deserves.
We're absolutely gutted. Our pilots, volunteers and supporters have put hundreds of hours into preparing for today, and we know many of you were planning to spend your afternoon with us.
We could have tried to carry on in some form, but that would have meant asking you to stand in unpleasant conditions while many of our headline aircraft remained grounded. That's simply not the experience we wanted to give you.
Safety has always been, and always will be, our first priority.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us, shared our posts and helped make this event possible. Your encouragement means a great deal to our volunteer club.
Please don't give up on us—we'll be back on Sunday 13th September, and we'll do everything we can to put on the fantastic family flying display that you've been looking forward to.
Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to see you all in September. ❤️✈️

Another british flying icon, arguably just as iconic as the Spitfire!
This striking BAE Hawk wears the spectacular 2010 Flight Training School 50th Anniversary colour scheme, celebrating half a century of RAF fast-jet pilot training.
Its vibrant Union Flag-inspired livery makes it one of the most eye-catching aircraft in the display and a fitting tribute to one of Britain's most successful jet trainers.
Oh yes, this is a real Jet! And it's not the only one being displayed!

Piper Cubs - and a firm crowd favourite - the Sweety Drop!
Simple, reliable and hugely popular, the Piper Cub introduced generations of pilots to the joy of flying. More than 80 years after its first flight, it remains one of aviation's true classics.
Our pair of bright yellow Cubs will be up right at the start of the event to kick us off, but also mid afternoon for their show piece - formation sweety drops for the kids, whilst capturing the golden age of light aviation!!

Happy Sunday Everyone....
7 days to go ! We are too excited, so this time a DOUBLE update for you....
But before that... a huge huge thank you to those that are supporting our fund raising already, and we have not even flown for you yet (or maybe we did in the past !)

Okay so two big updates - this show is building into something BIG
1. Messerschmitt Bf109
Produced in greater numbers than any other fighter in history, the Bf109 served throughout the Second World War and remains one of aviation's most famous aircraft.
Fast, agile and instantly recognisable, this beautifully detailed model IS NEW NEW NEW to our show and perfectly timed to celebrate some of the best aircraft of WW2.
2. Flex Innovations Twin Otters
Twin-engine formation flying is always a crowd pleaser. These impressive Flex Innovations Twin Otters will demonstrate close formation flying, smooth handling and precision teamwork throughout their routine. [At least thats what the Ad says! These two flew together to practice a routine for the first time this morning !]
With one aircraft in the classic red, black and white scheme and the other in the blue, white and red livery, they're guaranteed to brighten the Jersey skies. But think twice about being a passenger !
