Gorey fete - ATTENTION
Gorey pier is closed from 5am on Thursday until Saturday midday. From 8am Thursday the road will be one way down the hill from St Martin , limited parking allowed by pizza quarter. Anyone coming from Grouville will be diverted through Gorey village and then can come down the one way system past pizza quarter. Parking will be very limited

Today the Strawberry Full Moon reaches its peak illumination. The sun takes its highest and northernmost path of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. That’s why it’s summer — the sun is higher, so days last longer and there’s more sunlight. The Strawberry Moon does the reverse, it follows the lowest and most southerly path possible. Look up tonight 🙏

The nights surrounding the new moon on June 14 are the perfect time to hunt for planets and sparkling constellations in the late spring sky. June’s new moon is finally upon us, bringing with it a handful of precious dark nights in which to explore the wonders of the starry sky, before the familiar sight of the waxing lunar crescent returns to hide fainter targets from view 🙏
