72nd COARSE ANGLING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP FOR NATIONS

The first day of competition at the 72nd Coarse Angling World Championship for Nations has concluded on the Sorraia River in Coruche, Portugal, with an exciting battle already unfolding among the world's top coarse angling teams.
After the first leg, the Czech Republic leads the team standings with 15 penalty points, closely followed by Hungary with 16 and France with 20.5.
Slovakia occupies fourth place with 21 points, while England rounds out the provisional top five on 22 points.
The individual podium after Day 1 is completed by Alexandre Caudin of France and José Alfonso Pardo García of Spain, while several nations remain firmly in contention ahead of the decisive second leg.

With just one competition day remaining, every point will be crucial as teams fight for the world title in one of the most prestigious and historic championships on the international FIPSed calendar. The final rankings will be decided tomorrow on the waters of the Sorraia River, promising an intense and exciting conclusion to this world-class event.

26th CARP FISHING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP FOR NATIONS: UKRAINE CLAIMS WORLD TITLE IN MAVROVO
The 26th edition of the Carp Fishing World Championship for Nations has come to a close at Lake Mavrovo, North Macedonia, following an intense 72-hour competition organized by the Macedonian Fishing Federation. Thirty-three national teams competed in one of the most prestigious events on the international FIPSed calendar, showcasing outstanding technical skill and determination throughout the championship.
The Ukrainian National Team secured the World Championship title with an impressive performance, finishing with 4 team points and a total catch weight of 435.850 kg, accumulated through the capture of 162 fish. Hungary claimed the silver medal with 6 points and 229.575 kg, while Lithuania completed the podium in third place with 12 points and 181.625 kg.

In the Pairs Classification, Ukraine dominated the standings, taking two of the top three positions. The World Champion pair was Andrii Levchenko and Ihor Truba (Ukraine), whose outstanding catch of 216.350 kg and 81 fish earned them first place. The silver medal went to Raivis Kabiņeckis and Valters Pirktiņš (Latvia) with 194.475 kg, while the bronze medal was secured by another Ukrainian duo, Dmytro Hrytsun and Denys Suprunenko, with 150.450 kg.

These days, the Sorraia River in Coruche 🇵🇹 is hosting the 72nd Coarse Angling World Championship for Nations, with teams from around the world competing for the higest title.

A classic, technical and demanding venue, the Sorraia River has hosted numerous World Championships over the years and is once again putting the technical and tactical skills of the world’s best anglers to the test.

The training sessions have been challenging, with the river demanding concentration, strategy and adaptability throughout each day. 🎣💪

We would like to wish the very best of luck to all 21 participating nations, and especially to all the athletes giving their very best at this major international event.

We are sharing some images from the opening ceremony held this past Tuesday, which officially marked the start of a World Championship that is already delivering some great moments. 📸

Ces jours-ci, le fleuve Sorraia, à Coruche 🇵🇹, accueille le 72e Championnat du Monde des Nations de Pêche au Coup, avec des équipes venues du monde entier pour se disputer le titre mondial.

Un parcours classique, technique et exigeant. Le Sorraia a accueilli de nombreux Championnats du Monde au fil des années et met une nouvelle fois à l’épreuve les compétences techniques et tactiques des meilleurs pêcheurs du monde.

Les entraînements se sont révélés difficiles, le fleuve exigeant concentration, stratégie et capacité d’adaptation tout au long de chaque journée. 🎣💪

Nous souhaitons la meilleure des chances aux 21 nations participantes, et tout particulièrement à l’ensemble des sportifs qui donnent le meilleur d’eux-mêmes lors de ce grand rendez-vous international.

Closing Ceremony of the World Championship in Freshwater Fishing — Masters and Ladies 🎣🌍

We have reached the end of two great World Championships in Freshwater Fishing, Masters and Ladies, marked by truly challenging weather conditions that put all the athletes to the test.

Wind, rain, heat and difficult fishing days made the effort of every participant even more remarkable. Because behind every catch there is much more than technique: there is a spirit of determination, mental strength, physical endurance and the ability to keep fighting until the very last minute, even when conditions are not on your side.

And if these championships have shown us anything, it is that the effort has been well worth it. Multiple catches, fantastic fishing venues and first-class organisation have made this an event to remember. Spain and Valencia have once again demonstrated that, when it comes to hosting major sporting events, they are always a top destination and a benchmark. 🇪🇸👏

Congratulations to the Hungarian team, World Champions, for an outstanding performance and for showing tremendous consistency and strength throughout the championship.

Clôture du Championnat du Monde de Pêche en Eau Douce — Masters et Dames 🎣🌍

Nous arrivons au terme de deux grands Championnats du Monde de Pêche en Eau Douce, Masters et Dames, marqués par des conditions météorologiques particulièrement exigeantes qui ont mis tous les sportifs à rude épreuve.

Vent, pluie, chaleur et journées de pêche difficiles ont rendu les efforts de chaque participant encore plus remarquables. Car derrière chaque prise, il y a bien plus que de la technique : il y a un esprit de dépassement de soi, une force mentale, une endurance physique et la capacité à continuer à se battre jusqu’à la dernière minute, même lorsque les conditions ne sont pas favorables.

Et s’il y a une chose que ces championnats ont démontrée, c’est que tous ces efforts en valaient la peine. De nombreuses prises, des parcours de pêche fantastiques et une organisation à la hauteur ont fait de cette compétition un événement à retenir. L’Espagne et Valence ont une nouvelle fois démontré que, lorsqu’il s’agit d’accueillir de grands événements sportifs, elles sont toujours une référence et parmi les meilleures destinations. 🇪🇸👏

Félicitations à l’équipe de Hongrie, championne du monde, pour sa performance exceptionnelle et pour avoir fait preuve d’une grande régularité et d’une remarquable force tout au long du championnat.
