DAF ha ridefinito in Italia i parametri dell’educazione avanzata nella danza, fondando un programma internazionale di formazione professionale la cui struttura, densità artistica e livello di integrazione hanno generato un nuovo standard per lo sviluppo del danzatore contemporaneo. Riconosciuto da artisti, coreografi e direttori in tutto il mondo, DAF rappresenta un sistema educativo unico in Italia, in cui pratica quotidiana, creazione coreografica, consapevolezza somatica, scambio artistico internazionale, esperienza teatrale e concrete opportunità professionali convergono all’interno della stessa architettura formativa.
DAF non considera la formazione come semplice trasmissione di tecniche, ma come un processo complesso di costruzione, consapevolezza e proiezione verso il mondo professionale. La sua visione mira a elevare la qualità del progetto di vita del danzatore attraverso una comprensione profonda delle pratiche, delle strategie e delle esperienze che possono sostenere un processo artistico sano, ricco ed equilibrato.

DAF ha creato in Italia un programma di formazione professionale unico, dedicato all’educazione profonda del danzatore, offrendo ai giovani artisti una delle opportunità più significative per costruire il proprio futuro nella danza attraverso un rapporto diretto con artisti internazionali, coreografi, teatri e compagnie professionali.
𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗙𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠
Un programma di formazione completo, basato sullo studio analitico dei diversi linguaggi della danza contemporanea all’interno della scena internazionale. La pratica quotidiana integra uno studio approfondito e rigoroso della tecnica classica, il training contemporaneo e nuove creazioni affidate ad artisti ospiti provenienti da tutto il mondo. Lo studio del balletto è concepito come una base quotidiana ed essenziale per la costruzione di un danzatore tecnicamente consapevole, fisicamente organizzato e artisticamente versatile. Accanto a questa rigorosa struttura classica, il programma apre il danzatore alle correnti più avanzate della ricerca contemporanea e alla presenza costante di artisti che entrano nel sistema come nuove voci autoriali, ampliandone il vocabolario artistico e la prospettiva internazionale. Il programma è concepito come un percorso immersivo in cui i danzatori vengono esposti a metodologie, identità artistiche e processi creativi differenti, sviluppando forza tecnica, autonomia, intelligenza e responsabilità artistica.
𝗗𝗔𝗙 𝗡𝗘𝗫𝗧
DAF NEXT è uno dei programmi post graduate più avanzati a livello internazionale. Il programma è strutturato intorno alla messa in scena di 6 nuove creazioni firmate da 6 diversi coreografi, offrendo agli studenti un’esperienza molto vicina alla vita professionale di un artista all’interno dei teatri e delle compagnie. All’interno di DAF NEXT, lo studio quotidiano e approfondito della tecnica classica resta un asse strutturale del programma, sostenendo precisione fisica, organizzazione tecnica e adattabilità professionale del danzatore. Questa base viene posta in costante dialogo con le pratiche contemporanee più avanzate e con la ricerca di coreografi internazionali, la cui presenza introduce nuove voci autoriali nel sistema formativo e creativo. Una rete crescente di collaborazioni nazionali e internazionali con teatri e compagnie professionali permette a DAF di sostenere ogni studente nel passaggio verso il mondo del lavoro. Allo stesso tempo, DAF ritiene essenziale sostenere e promuovere il desiderio degli artisti freelance di continuare a scoprire, nutrire e dare valore alle proprie aspettative umane e artistiche. DAF NEXT offre ai giovani danzatori una rete internazionale di artisti, rivolta a chi è pronto a esprimere il proprio bisogno di scoperta, ricerca e crescita artistica.

DAF has created in Italy a unique professional training program dedicated to the in-depth education of dancers, offering young artists one of the most significant opportunities to build their future in dance through a direct relationship with international artists, choreographers, theatres and professional companies.
𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗙𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠
A complete training program based on the analytical study of different contemporary dance languages within the international scene. Daily practice combines an in-depth and rigorous study of classical technique, contemporary training and new creations by guest artists from all over the world. The study of ballet is conceived as a daily and essential foundation for the construction of a technically aware, physically organized and artistically versatile dancer. Alongside this rigorous classical structure, the program opens the dancer to the most advanced currents of contemporary research and to the constant presence of artists who enter the system as new authorial voices, expanding its artistic vocabulary and its international perspective. The program is conceived as an immersive path in which dancers are exposed to different methodologies, artistic identities and creative processes, developing technical strength, autonomy, intelligence and artistic responsibility.
𝗗𝗔𝗙 𝗡𝗘𝗫𝗧
DAF NEXT is one of the most advanced postgraduate programs internationally. The program is structured around the staging of 6 new creations by 6 different choreographers, offering students an experience very close to the professional life of an artist within theatres and companies. Within DAF NEXT, the daily and in-depth study of classical technique remains a structural axis of the program, supporting the dancer’s physical precision, technical organization and professional adaptability. This foundation is placed in constant dialogue with the most advanced contemporary practices and with the research of international choreographers, whose presence introduces new authorial voices into the educational and creative system. A growing network of national and international collaborations with theatres and professional companies allows DAF to support each student in the transition toward the professional world. At the same time, DAF believes it is essential to support and promote the desire of freelance artists to keep discovering, nurturing and giving value to their own human and artistic expectations.
DAF NEXT offers an international network of artists to young dancers who are ready to express their need for discovery, research and artistic growth.

Over the course of this week, they shared with us their time, their vision, and their experience, working together to create the foundations for new possibilities and future opportunities.

We thank them for the proposals they offered, for their suggestions, for the attention they dedicated to each individual work, for their generosity, and for everything that can never be taken for granted, especially when it comes from a genuine encounter, a generous gaze, and an authentic presence.

The presentation of around twenty premières, created by twenty national and international artists, was received with an attention, concentration, and enthusiasm that were truly extraordinary, beyond anything we could have hoped for.

We close this edition as well with new and solid partnerships, placed at the service of our students’ future and of their artistic and professional growth.

DAF Finale Season è la raccolta finale di un anno in cui gli studi del DAF sono stati attraversati da coreografi e artisti provenienti da ogni parte del mondo. Un anno in cui ogni meccanismo, ogni processo, ogni passaggio creativo è stato costruito per bilanciare, informare, riequilibrare le differenze e portare un risultato importante e unico in ognuno di questi giovani artisti.

Questa presentazione riflette l’intensità di un processo segnato da una ricerca complessa, da fasi di ibridazione linguistica e da pratiche emergenti di autorialità. È il risultato di un percorso in cui corpi, visioni, culture e linguaggi artistici differenti sono entrati in dialogo, generando un campo di trasformazione continua.

Ogni anno, questo finale di stagione ci sorprende. In qualche modo ci stupisce per la bellezza e la profondità di quanto è accaduto. Ci ricorda che quello che avviene dentro uno studio non è mai soltanto un processo tecnico o performativo, ma una trasformazione profonda che riguarda tutti. Cambiano i giovani artisti, ma cambiamo anche noi insieme a loro. Ogni anno, in modi diversi, adattiamo la nostra vita alle loro esigenze, alle loro urgenze, alla loro fragilità, alla loro forza e alla responsabilità che sentiamo verso le future generazioni che stanno cercando il proprio posto nel mondo.

Questo palcoscenico non restituirà semplicemente una performance. Restituirà tante storie personali. Le storie di tanti ragazzi che hanno deciso concretamente di lottare per qualcosa, di restare dentro un processo, di attraversare fatica, incertezza, esposizione e desiderio, e di trasformare tutto questo in presenza, linguaggio e identità artistica.✨🌏

DAF Finale Season is the final gathering of a year in which the DAF studios have been crossed by choreographers and artists from every part of the world. A year in which every mechanism, every process, every creative passage has been built to balance, to inform, to recalibrate differences, and to bring an important and unique result into each of these young artists.

This presentation reflects the intensity of a process marked by intricate research, phases of linguistic hybridization, and emerging practices of authorship. It is the result of a path in which different bodies, visions, cultures, and artistic languages have entered into dialogue, creating a field of continuous transformation.

Every year, this final season surprises us. In some way, it astonishes us for the beauty and depth of what has taken place. It reminds us that what happens inside a studio is never only a technical or performative process, but a profound transformation that involves everyone. The young artists change, but we also change with them. Every year, in different ways, we adapt our lives to their needs, to their urgencies, to their fragility, to their strength, and to the responsibility we feel towards the future generations who are trying to find their own place in the world.

This stage will not simply return a performance. It will bring back many personal stories. The stories of many young people who have concretely decided to fight for something, to remain inside a process, to cross fatigue, uncertainty, exposure, and desire, in order to transform all of this into presence, language, and artistic identity.✨🌏

Presentiamo la commissione internazionale che conclude questa stagione.

🔍 Un sistema di osservazione, analisi e scambio attraverso il quale DAF continua ad ampliare e consolidare, anno dopo anno, una relazione creativa e dinamica con i direttori di alcune tra le più importanti istituzioni europee e internazionali.

✨ All’interno di questa direzione, DAF continua a investire risorse, ricerca e sviluppo nel sistema della danza, costruendo una posizione fondata sulla costante osservazione, interpretazione ed elaborazione delle nuove correnti coreografiche. Una prospettiva che non si limita a registrare l’emergere dei linguaggi più attuali, ma ne indaga le traiettorie, le necessità e le possibili trasformazioni all’interno dei processi di crescita artistica e professionale.

🎯 L’obiettivo è valutare con precisione le reali necessità del panorama professionale internazionale, individuando gli elementi che oggi incidono concretamente sulla crescita, sulla preparazione e sullo sviluppo professionale dei giovani danzatori.

✨ Dal 27 giugno al 2 luglio, avremo il piacere di accogliere 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗼 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼, 𝗔𝗹𝗳𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮, 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝗙𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗿 𝗣𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗻, 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝘂𝗯𝗹 𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗼 𝗔𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗹𝗳𝗶, invitati ad analizzare, studiare e condividere il lavoro presentato dagli studenti dell’International Program attraverso un corpus di 20 creazioni coreografiche originali.

🌍 We present the international committee that concludes this season: a system of observation, analysis, and exchange through which DAF continues to expand and consolidate, year after year, a creative and dynamic relationship with the directors of some of the most important European and international institutions.

🔍 Within this direction, DAF continues to invest resources, research, and development within the dance system, shaping a position grounded in the constant observation, interpretation, and elaboration of new choreographic currents. This perspective does not simply register the emergence of the most current languages, but investigates their trajectories, necessities, and possible transformations within the processes of artistic and professional growth.

🎯 The aim is to assess with precision the real needs of the international professional landscape, identifying the elements that currently have a concrete impact on the growth, preparation, and professional development of young dancers.

✨ From June 27 to July 2, we will have the pleasure of welcoming 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗼 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼, 𝗔𝗹𝗳𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮, 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝗙𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗿 𝗣𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗻, 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝘂𝗯𝗹 𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗼 𝗔𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗹𝗳𝗶, who will be invited to analyze, study, and share the work presented by the students of the International Program through a body of 20 original choreographic creations.

Lo studio del balletto è concepito come una base quotidiana ed essenziale per la costruzione di un danzatore tecnicamente consapevole, fisicamente organizzato e artisticamente versatile. Accanto a questa rigorosa struttura classica, il programma apre il danzatore alle correnti più avanzate della ricerca contemporanea e alla presenza costante di artisti che entrano nel sistema come nuove voci autoriali, ampliandone il vocabolario artistico e la prospettiva internazionale. Il programma è concepito come un percorso immersivo in cui i danzatori vengono esposti a metodologie, identità artistiche e processi creativi differenti, sviluppando forza tecnica, autonomia, intelligenza e responsabilità artistica.

𝗗𝗔𝗙 𝗡𝗘𝗫𝗧
DAF NEXT è uno dei programmi post graduate più avanzati a livello internazionale. Il programma è strutturato intorno alla messa in scena di 6 nuove creazioni firmate da 6 diversi coreografi, offrendo agli studenti un’esperienza molto vicina alla vita professionale di un artista all’interno dei teatri e delle compagnie. All’interno di DAF NEXT, lo studio quotidiano e approfondito della tecnica classica resta un asse strutturale del programma, sostenendo precisione fisica, organizzazione tecnica e adattabilità professionale del danzatore. Questa base viene posta in costante dialogo con le pratiche contemporanee più avanzate e con la ricerca di coreografi internazionali, la cui presenza introduce nuove voci autoriali nel sistema formativo e creativo. Una rete crescente di collaborazioni nazionali e internazionali con teatri e compagnie professionali permette a DAF di sostenere ogni studente nel passaggio verso il mondo del lavoro. Allo stesso tempo, DAF ritiene essenziale sostenere e promuovere il desiderio degli artisti freelance di continuare a scoprire, nutrire e dare valore alle proprie aspettative umane e artistiche. DAF NEXT offre ai giovani danzatori una rete internazionale di artisti, rivolta a chi è pronto a esprimere il proprio bisogno di scoperta, ricerca e crescita artistica.

DAF has redefined in Italy the parameters of advanced dance education, establishing an international professional training program whose structure, artistic density and level of integration have generated a new standard for the development of the contemporary dancer. Recognized by artists, choreographers and directors around the world, DAF represents a unique educational system in Italy, where daily practice, choreographic creation, somatic awareness, international artistic exchange, theatre experience and concrete professional opportunities converge within the same formative architecture. DAF does not consider training as the simple transmission of techniques, but as a complex process of construction, awareness and projection toward the professional world. DAF has created in Italy a unique professional training program dedicated to the in-depth education of dancers, offering young artists one of the most significant opportunities to build their future in dance through a direct relationship with international artists, choreographers, theatres and professional companies.

𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗙𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠
A complete training program based on the analytical study of different contemporary dance languages within the international scene. Daily practice combines an in-depth and rigorous study of classical technique, contemporary training and new creations by guest artists from all over the world. The study of ballet is conceived as a daily and essential foundation for the construction of a technically aware, physically organized and artistically versatile dancer. Alongside this rigorous classical structure, the program opens the dancer to the most advanced currents of contemporary research and to the constant presence of artists who enter the system as new authorial voices, expanding its artistic vocabulary and its international perspective. The program is conceived as an immersive path in which dancers are exposed to different methodologies, artistic identities and creative processes, developing technical strength, autonomy, intelligence and artistic responsibility.

𝗗𝗔𝗙 𝗡𝗘𝗫𝗧
DAF NEXT is one of the most advanced postgraduate programs internationally. The program is structured around the staging of 6 new creations by 6 different choreographers, offering students an experience very close to the professional life of an artist within theatres and companies. Within DAF NEXT, the daily and in-depth study of classical technique remains a structural axis of the program, supporting the dancer’s physical precision, technical organization and professional adaptability. This foundation is placed in constant dialogue with the most advanced contemporary practices and with the research of international choreographers, whose presence introduces new authorial voices into the educational and creative system. A growing network of national and international collaborations with theatres and professional companies allows DAF to support each student in the transition toward the professional world. At the same time, DAF believes it is essential to support and promote the desire of freelance artists to keep discovering, nurturing and giving value to their own human and artistic expectations.

DAF NEXT offers an international network of artists to young dancers who are ready to express their need for discovery, research and artistic growth.

Olson Blake Michael ha cominciato la sua carriera professionale con TANZ HARZ, la compagnia diretta da Tarek Assam presso il Nordharzer Städtebundtheater Halberstadt/Quedlinburg, in Germania. All’interno di TANZ HARZ, Blake si inserisce in una continuità già viva, condividendo lo stesso contesto professionale con altri ex studenti DAF che da anni operano stabilmente nella compagnia. Una presenza che non appare come un episodio isolato, ma come parte di una traiettoria artistica che nel tempo continua a trovare conferme concrete.
