โIn response to the statement made today by UEFA regarding the so-called โNegreira caseโ, Real Madrid CF states the following:
UEFA has confirmed receipt of the complaint filed by Real Madrid CF and the continuation of the investigation into payments made over the last two decades by FC Barcelona to the former vice-president of the Technical Committee of Referees.
The complaint filed by our club includes abundant documentation and evidence about ๐๐ฑ๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ฆ๐๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐ฌ๐๐ซ๐ข๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐๐ฏ๐๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ that directly affect the integrity of the competition and confidence in the refereeing system.
Real Madrid CF considers it essential that, once UEFA has this documentation, the investigation proceeds ๐๐ฌ ๐ช๐ฎ๐ข๐๐ค๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐๐ฌ ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ฅ๐ until its complete conclusion and that the competent bodies adopt the corresponding decisions according to the seriousness of the proven facts.
Our club will continue to actively collaborate with UEFA and take all actions within its power to clarify events that it considers incompatible with the principles of integrity, transparency and fair play that should govern European footballโ.
