Grand Prix de l’age d’Or 2026
After an intense week in the workshop, with only seven days to prepare and repair 21 cars, the team arrived at Dijon-Prenois ready for the third round of the Le Mans Classic Series.
✨Friday✨
Under near perfect conditions,in a 30-minute session, the grid was set for the first of the two Gentlemen Challenge heats. Volker Hichert had a great day behind the wheel of his Bizzarrini 5300 GT and set the third fastest time overall and was also first in his class. Hot on his heels, Luc-Pierre qualified his Lister Chevrolet fourth. His father Georges ended the day second in the GT category and 16th overall with his Jaguar E-Type.
As always, qualifying for the Sixties’ Endurance grid was hotly contested. Maxime and Guillaume had a great session in their Shelby Cobra Daytona and will start the two-hour race on the first row. Still in striking distance, Armand and Yves set the 12th fastest time on aggregate in the Cobra Daytona they share. Charles was 20th fastest in his Cobra and the E-Type of Jeanne and Hervé will start in 40th.
✨Saturday✨
We were once again treated to glorious weather, the action was split between qualifying and the weekend’s first races. First up was the Heritage Touring Cup 2 with Pierre-Alain and Erwin setting the eighth fastest time with their M3 and Jeanne claiming tenth on the grid in her BMW 635 CSI. Armand then had two great sessions. He first put his Lola T70 on the front row of the highly competitive CER1 grid and then claimed pole position for HTC in his Ford Capri. He will line up alongside Yves, who grabbed second. Jean-Marc Merlin is one row behind as he gets further acquainted with his BMW 3.5 CSL. In their Es**rts Hervé and Pierre Alain were 16th and 17th fastest. Dominique and Maxime could not get a time on the boards as a belt in the fuel injection pump had failed. This has already been sorted so they will start at the back of the grid in their CSL. Final qualifying of the day was for CER2 where Maxime, Yves and Dominique placed fourth, sixth and eighth respectively.
Usually the Saturday finale, the two-hour Sixties’ Endurance race was now scheduled right after the lunch break. Guillaume got a great start in the Cobra Daytona, he would later hand over to Maxime. Starting second, he quickly moved up the order and was firmly in the lead going into the pit stops. Sadly, successive pits stops ate away at the lead and the French / Swiss duo eventually had to settle for fourth after penalty post-race. Charles had a strong race and finished thirteenth overall. Sharing an E-Type, Jeanne and Hervé finished 34th. In contention for a podium for much of the race, the Cobra driven by Yves and Armand was sadly forced to retire with only a few minutes to go. The Gentlemen Challenge also had a bittersweet finish as, after a fabulous race, Luc-Pierre managed to cross the line in first with his Lister Chevrolet but he missed the finish flag and completed one more lap. For this he was penalised and relegated. His father, Georges, also managed to score a podium finish, in his class, with his Jaguar E-Type.
✨Sunday✨
The final day of the 2026 Grand Prix de l’Age d’Or kicked off with Armand on pole position for the Heritage Touring Cup 1 race in his Ford Capri and Dominique right at the back with the BMW 3.5 CSL that he would hand over to his son Maxime halfway through the race. Armand had a straightforward race and scored a dominant victory. The Guenats had more work to do in the BMW that was firing on all six cylinders again. They did so with verve and moved up all the way up to finish a superb second. Along the way they passed among others the Ford Es**rt of Pierre-Alain , who finished 17th, Jean-Marc Merlin, who was ended the race in fifth with his CSL and Yves Scemama, who was fourth in his Capri.
After the lunch break all eyes were on Armand again, who lined up on the front row of the Classic Endurance Racing 1 grid. In this highly competitive field, which included ex-F1 driver Jan Magnussen and Nürburgring 24 Hours winner Frank Stippler, Armand put in a fantastic performance to score his second outright win of the day. Next up was HTC2 where Pierre-Alain finished seventh with his BMW M3, just ahead of Jeanne, who finished second in class in her BMW 635 CSI. The penultimate race of the weekend was for CER2. Maxime had qualified his Lola T286 fourth but managed to move up the order to finish runner up. Just missing out on the podium was Yves, who crossed the line in fourth with his TOJ. The second Gentlemen Challenge heat brought down the curtain on a great weekend of racing. As in the first race, Luc-Pierre was close to victory with his Lister but eventually had to settle for second. His father Georges had a superb race in his Jaguar E-Type and was rewarded with a class victory.
It was a great weekend of racing at the Circuit Dijon-Prenois, helped in no small part by the lovely weather, great organisation and our dedicated and diligent mechanics.

Le Mans Classic Legend 2026 : the race
The inaugural Le Mans Classic Legend was a true race of attrition thanks to the gruelling nature of the 13.6 km track and the scorching conditions. Fortunately, we had our share of the issues during qualifying and nevertheless managed to line up first and second for Plateau 6 with Yves starting from pole in his TOJ alongside Maxime and his Lola T286. In the short time between qualifying and the race, the T286 had a new engine fitted.
With no time or opportunity to test the re-engined car, Maxime had to trust the work of the mechanics as started the first of three 50-minute races. He was most certainly not let down and rewarded the mechanics’ hard work with a victory in the first race. Yves unfortunately had a spin early on in the race, which left his tyres flat-spotted. On a fresh set of tyres, he finished the race in eleventh. Behind the two prototypes, Dominique also had a strong run and finished sixth overall and first in the GT class with his Porsche 935.
During the night-race, Maxime had a race-long battle with former F1 racer Jan Magnussen and eventually settled for second, knowing he already had a lap in hand against the Dane. Yves also had a clean race to finish third, while Dominique was ninth. In the third and final heat, the tables looked turned in Yves’ favour, who clocked a 307 km/h top speed in his slippery TOJ. Maxime had his eye on the big prize and was happy to settle for second until Yves was punted off by a back marker. He did get back on track and finished second behind Maxime, who scored his second win of the weekend. This was also more than enough to repeat his overall Plateau 6 victory from last year. It was our fourth win in Plateau six since 2018. Due to the time lost in the first heat, Yves ended the weekend in fourth, while Dominique was classified eighth overall.
Also out on track this weekend were Pierre-Alain and Erwin in the GT3 Revival support races with their Ferrari 458 GrandAm. They lined up for the first race in 11th but finished a delayed 20th overall. A flawless run in the second race saw the father and son pairing finish the weekend in 16th.
Cheered on by a nearly 160,000 strong crowd, which included many family members, the team excelled this weekend and all the hard work under often difficult conditions was rewarded on track by superb performances. We are immensely grateful to everybody that made this weekend unforgettable; the organisers, our great team and also the hundreds of volunteer marshals that lined the long Circuit de la Sarthe to keep us safe.

Le Mans Classic legend : Friday
Qualifying day at the 2026 Le Mans Classic Legend is done and dusted. In Plateau 6 six, Yves and Maxime secured front-row starting positions with their TOJ and Lola. Neither car survived the session without issues but on Yves’ TOJ a small oil leak has already been fixed, and a spare engine and a lot of hard work from our mechanics should ensure that Maxime will also start the the first of three races for this grid at 16:00 local time on Saturday afternoon. They will be joined by Dominique, who was ninth fastest and fourth in class. Father and son Pierre-Alain and Erwin will share their Ferrari 458 in the two GT3 Revival races. In the second of the two qualifying sessions, Erwin clocked the ninth fastest time.
Racing starts at 16:00 local time on Saturday and the daytime races will be streamed live on the Peter Auto YouTube channel.

Le Mans Classic Legend : J-1
We are at Le Mans this week for the newly created Le Mans Classic Legend. Focused on the more recent competition cars, it includes new grids and support races. Carried over from the original event is the Plateau 6 where we will be represented by three cars. Defending champion Maxime is back behind the wheel in his Lola T286. Among his biggest challengers will be Yves with his Warsteiner liveried TOJ. Dominique will be out in the Brambring Racing Porsche 935. Father and son Pierre-Alain and Erwin will race their Ferrari 458 in the two GT3 Revival support races. Also on display in the paddock will be the Peugeot 905 that Maxime drove to victory in the Group C during the 2025 edition of the Le Mans Classic.
The action will start on Friday morning with qualifying sessions, followed by night practice in the evening. On Saturday and Sunday there will be three races for Plateau 6 including one in the complete dark at midnight. The GT3 Revival races are scheduled for Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon.

Tour Auto 2026 Highlights:
An incredible week on our beautiful French back roads, which every year take us on a brand-new adventure. 🇫🇷✨
In the VHC category, Pierre and Philippe, driving their Jaguar E-Type, finished on the second step of the podium in their very first Tour Auto — a truly outstanding performance🍦, backed up by a car that remained reliable and faultless throughout the entire week. 🏁
In G/H/I, Armand and Charles, with their Porsche 3.0 RS, achieved the same result, also securing 2nd place on the final podium. 🥳
Unfortunately, our Jaguar #204 had to retire at the Albi circuit following an unavoidable racing incident for which our driver was not responsible.
A huge congratulations to our mechanics for all the hard work carried out before and during this magnificent Tour Auto. 👏🔧
And finally, thank you to the entire Peter Auto team for organizing such an incredible event in an exceptional setting.

Spa Classic 2026 : Preview
The Le Mans Classic Series resumes this weekend with the Spa Classic. For one of the absolute highlights of the season, we will bring no fewer than 22 cars, spread over seven grids. These include two brand new fields. Among them is the Heritage Touring Cup 2 for Group A cars with Jeanne in her BMW 635 CSI, while Pierre-Alain and Erwin will share their BMW M3. The father and son duo will also be out in the two GT3 Revival races with their Ferrari 458 Italia. They are joined on this new grid by Armand and Pierre, who will both be in Audi R8s with matching liveries.
Armand will also be out vying for victory in the Classic Endurance Racing 1 grid with his Lola T70. In CER2, defending champion Maxime will joined in his Lola T286 by his father Dominique and Yves, who are both driving TOJs. They are also all out in the HTC1, with Armand, Maxime and Yves all racing Capris, and Dominique entered with his fire-breathing BMW 3.0 CSL. Also on this grid is Hervé, who will be chasing the two-litre class win with his Ford Es**rt.
Scheduled for Saturday evening is the two-hour Sixties’ Endurance race for which we have brought five cars. Hervé and Jeanne back in the silver Jaguar E-Type, while Pierre and Philippe will race the E-Type that has just finished second overall in the Tour Auto. Maxime will share Cobra Daytona with Guillaume, as will Yves and Armand. Our fifth car on the grid is the Cobra Roadster of Charles.
Father and son Georges and Luc-Pierre will represent us in the two Gentlemen Challenge races. They will compete in their Jaguar E-Type and Chevrolet-engined Lister Knobbly respectively. Our third car on this grid is the Bizzarrini 5300 GT that will be shared by our German friends Volker and Björn.
All the ingredients are here for another great weekend of racing on the Ardennes roller coaster. With the exception, it seems, of the changeable conditions that the circuit is famous for. As always, all the action can be followed through Live Timing and the races will be broadcast on the Peter Auto YouTube channel.

🏁 Barcelona, what a way to start the season! 🇪🇸
The 2026 Le Mans Classic Series opener at Espiritu de Montjuic was a massive success for the whole crew. Three days of flat-out racing, 3 outright wins, 2 class victories, and a serious amount of silverware.
The Top Steps 🏆
• Armand took a huge win in CER1 with the Lola T70—a perfect, faultless drive.
• Maxime was unstoppable, taking the win in CER2 from pole and leading the charge in the Heritage Touring Cup.
• Erwin gave us the highlight of Saturday, snatching a maiden win in the Ferrari F430 with a bold pass in the final corners!
• Luc-Pierre secured an overall victory in the Gentlemen Trophy, while Georges was in a league of his own, sweeping the GT class both days in the cream E-Type.
Podiums & Class Battles 💪
• Heritage Touring Cup (HTC) Sweep: A total team lockout! Maxime and Armand took 1st and 2nd, while Dominique and Guillaume joined them on the podium in 3rd.
• The Es**rt Battle: Pierre-Alain drove a fantastic race to secure 3rd in class in his Ford Es**rt, finishing just ahead of Hervé in 4th.
• CER2 Success: Yves put in a mega performance in the TOJ, fighting at the front to bring home a hard-fought 3rd place on the podium.
That’s Racing...
• 60’s: It wasn't all trophies. Guillaume and Maxime drove a hell of a race in the 2-hour Sixties’ Endurance, leading almost the entire time until a mechanical issue robbed them of the win with just 10 minutes to go. Heartbreaking, but the pace was undeniable.
The daytona of Yves and Armand crossed the line a well done 5th overall !🤟
Also, a big shoutout to Pierre and Philippe for making their historic racing debut in their
Jaguar E-Type—great to have you in the mix! And great fight for top ten, a top 5 finish was achieveable 👊
To the Crew: A massive thank you to our mechanics. From the 9 AM sessions until after sunset, your tireless work is the reason these cars stay competitive. 🛠️💪
Next stop: Tour Auto in May. Let's keep this momentum going! 🚀
