DELAMINATION REPAIR🛠️ :
why the visible defect is only the starting point.

When delamination is found in a fiberglass laminate, the damaged area may extend beyond what is visible on the surface.
For this reason, a proper repair requires the laminate to be progressively opened until sound, stable, and well-bonded material is reached.
Only after all compromised layers have been removed can the reconstruction begin, taking into account the laminate thickness, fiber type, resin system, position on the boat, and correct overlap ratios.
An effective repair is not just cosmetic. It restores structural continuity, strength, and long-term reliability.

Marilee 1926
A timeless classic yacht legend

Commissioned by the New York Yacht Club in 1915 and designed by Nat Herreshoff, Marilee belongs to the iconic New York 40 class, later known as the “Fighting Forties”.
More than a yacht, she represents a rare piece of yachting history: classic design, documented restoration, technical heritage and craftsmanship preserved through time.
From her Herreshoff concept and structural drawings to her documented restoration between 2015 and 2017, every detail tells the story of a vessel built with purpose, maintained with care and preserved with respect.

A classic yacht survey is never just about checking a boat.
It means understanding history, construction, materials, restoration quality and the value of what cannot be easily replaced.

Marilee is far more than a yacht, she is living history.
