Honestly, I don’t like drills too, I always want to jump into handstand directly, no warm ups, no techniques…
But the difference when you actually warm up and use drills is abysmal!
Here - five super drills (intermediate) to improve your handstand. You need strength and control over specific muscle of the back chain if you want to master it.
1. Walk to wall - with leg extension.
2. Shoulder shrugs.
3. Shoulder taps (spread legs to spread weight- to make it easier).
4. Mini push ups with one leg straight and one to wall (wish I could do full push up but I’m still working on my strength 🥹)
5. Hold - try to not collapse the shoulder!
I’m still learning too and gotta do the hard work everyday… we got this 🫶
Let me know which one is your least favourite 🤪🙋🏻♀️

A few - beginner/intermediate friendly - killer - drills for core compression worth trying 😬
1- Alternate legs
2- Single compression hold
3- Compression hold to L-sit and back
4- L-sit to plank (walk through)
5- L-sit hold (alternate cross legs) consecutive hold
Last one is a killer!
Give it a try and let me know which one is your least favourite 🤣
Don’t forget to breath and dance in between sets, it actually helps 💃🥲
You’ll get an iron core as well as strong shoulders and hip flexors 🦾
This is great exercise if you are learning to jump back and jump through in your ashtanga series!
