Dagsetningar námskeiða 2026: 7.sept, 5.okt, 2.nóv

Námskeiðið fer yfir grunnatriði í hestamennsku, svo sem umhirðu hestsins, gangtegundir, jafnvægi knapans og hvernig byggja má upp gott og öruggt samband milli knapa og hests. Æfingar í stjórnun hestsins fara fram í gerði og einnig verður farið í reiðtúra í nágrenni Íshesta.
•Kennsla fer fram einu sinni í viku, 120 mínútur í senn, og námskeiðið stendur yfir í 2 vikur.
•Námskeiðið er á mánudögum frá kl. 16:00 til 18:00.

Að lágmarki þurfa 3 þátttakendur að vera skráðir svo námskeiðið fari fram.

Riding classes for adults

The course covers the basics such as grooming, gaits, rider balance, and helping students develop a confident connection with their horse. Exercises will be practiced in the riding arena, along with riding tours around the area surrounding Íshestar

•Classes are held once a week for 120 minutes at a time, and the course runs for 2 weeks.
•The course begins at 4:00 PM on Mondays and ends at 6:00 PM.

⭐️Námskeið upplögð fyrir börn sem hafa áhuga á hestum en hafa ekki
hest né aðstöðu til að fara á hestbak.
⭐️Börnin fá úthlutaða hesta sem þau sjá um eins og sinn eigin. Þau læra að hirða um hestana og fara í útreiðartúra.
⭐️Þátttakendur fá góða innsýn inn í heim hestamennskunnar og öðlast mikilvægan skilning á því að hestamennska er ekki bara fólgin í því að fara á hestbak.

Registration for “Horse in Foster Care” is now open!

The course starts on the 1st and 2nd of February!

⭐️The course is ideal for children who are interested in horses but do not have a horse or the facilities to ride.
⭐️Children are assigned horses that they take care of as their own. They learn to look after the horses and go on riding tours.
⭐️Participants gain valuable insight into the world of horsemanship and understand that horsemanship is not just about riding.

Experience the magic of autumn in one of the most iconic landscapes of Iceland. Our ride takes us to the historic side of Þingvellir National Park. We spend a day riding through the breathtaking scenery of Þingvellir, a UNESCO world heritage site as the birch forests turn brilliant shades of gold and orange🍂

Accommodation: Skógarhólar Lodge (2 nights, sleeping bag accommodation)
