The player must first pocket a red ball and then try to pocket any color ball he wishes. The player with maximum points wins the game.
The game Snooker is played with 22 balls, made up of one white ball (the cue ball), 15 red balls ( red ball 1point), and six colored balls, one yellow 2pts, one green 3pts, one brown 4pts, one blue 5pts, one pink 6pts, and one black (valued at 7 points). After pocketing the color ball he then again tries to pocket a red ball and continues the cycle un-till all the red balls on the table are pocket

Funniest comments you get to hear is when you play snooker...
for eg:- on hitting too much follow on the cue ball, i heard someone say "ala ghare lai jais"??? hahaha
The reaction people give "ala haji ek frame kai thi aayi" when they are reminded that they still need to pay up for one more frame....hilarious
Fun fact - Snooker was first played in 1875 by a group of British officers stationed in India. The lashing monsoons would often leave the men with nothing to do but play billiards, and they ended up experimenting with the rules until the new game of snooker was born.
