The new centre brings internationally recognised Goethe examinations closer to students and young professionals across the Malabar region, offering greater accessibility and convenience to those pursuing opportunities in education, employment, and further learning in Germany.
With the examination centre in Kozhikode, learners from Malabar can now take an important step in their German-language journey closer to home.

Goethe-Zentrum Kerala has expanded its presence to North Kerala with the launch of a new Goethe Examination Centre in Kozhikode, bringing internationally recognised German examinations closer to students and young professionals across the Malabar region.
The centre was inaugurated in the presence of Dr. Alexandra Mittler, (Director, Language Programmes South Asia, Goethe-Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan, New Delhi), and Dr. Syed Ibrahim, (Director, Goethe-Zentrum Kerala), along with partners and well-wishers.
With the first examinations beginning on August 19, this new centre is more than a place for certification, it is a step towards creating greater opportunities, stronger connections and meaningful Indo-German cultural exchange in North Kerala.

As Kerala gets ready to welcome the festive spirit of Onam, our centre welcomed Atham with a traditional Athapookalam, bringing together the colours, creativity and cultural spirit that make this season special.
Goethe-Zentrum Calicut, is also getting ready to open its doors, creating a new space for the German language, internationally recognised examinations and cultural exchange in Malabar. A beautiful beginning, rooted in tradition and looking towards new possibilities.

Goethe-Zentrum proudly commemorated India’s 80th Independence Day at our Jawahar Nagar campus in Trivandrum.
The National Flag was ceremonially hoisted by Dr. Syed Ibrahim, Honorary Consul of Germany to Kerala and Director of Goethe-Zentrum Kerala, marking the occasion with a strong spirit of pride, unity, and shared values.
