🏸 From Thane to Indonesia 🇮🇳🤝🇮🇩

As part of a long-standing tradition of nurturing talent and providing international exposure, Thane City & District Badminton Association (TCDBA) continues its commitment to player development by sending promising athletes abroad for advanced training.

This year, Yash Dhembre and Om Wagh have embarked on a valuable training stint at the Indonesia National Academy, where they are training alongside talented Indonesian players and experiencing one of the world’s most successful badminton ecosystems.

For decades now, TCDBA has consistently taken initiatives to provide young players with opportunities beyond domestic competition, helping them learn from different training environments, coaching methodologies, and badminton cultures. Such experiences play an important role in shaping well-rounded athletes and preparing them for higher levels of competition.

Our Thane Academy president Shri Shrikant Vad met Guardian Minister Shri Eknathji Shinde at his residence on Friday & had a very meaningful discussion with Hon DCM regarding various issues about the Khandu Ranganekar Badminton Hall extension project & uplifting the existing facilities there in !

The Ex President of TCDBA immediately responded by approving the suggestions of Mr Vad & gave directive to the concerned authorities to do the needful!
The discussion was very fruitful for future progress of development of our Badminton Hall .

An athlete of Thane Badminton Academy, Maharashtra’s prestigious Shiv Chhatrapati Awardee, former Indian badminton player, musician, and actor known for portraying Parupalli Kashyap in the movie *Saina*, Eshan spent valuable time interacting with our young shuttlers and sharing lessons from his remarkable journey.

It was a doubly auspicious occasion at the 35th Badminton Summer Camp 2026 inauguration! 🎂

We had the distinct honor of felicitating our beloved Vice President of the Thane City and District Badminton Association, Shri. Shriram Bhalerao, on the milestone of his 75th birthday. As the Managing Director of Labindia Pvt Ltd, his wisdom and constant encouragement are the guiding force behind our association’s success and the players’ growth.
