๐Ÿ† FIRST FROM J&K TO WIN BRONZE MEDAL AT AMMA ASIAN MMA CHAMPIONSHIP ๐Ÿฅ‰๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ

This is a new era for MMA in the Valley.

Our very own Faisal Mushtaq from Pulwama, Kashmir has created history by becoming the first athlete from Jammu & Kashmir to win a Bronze Medal at the AMMA Asian MMA Championship in the Traditional MMA event under the -75KG weight category.

Representing MMA SAJK under the banner of MMA SFI, Faisal showcased immense courage, dedication, and warrior spirit against the best fighters in Asia and proudly finished on the podium for India. ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ”ฅ

From the mountains of Kashmir to the international stage in Uzbekistan, this achievement marks the rise of MMA in the Valley and proves that athletes from Jammu & Kashmir can compete with the best in the world. ๐ŸฅŠ๐ŸŒ

J&K MMA TEAM CREATES HISTORY AT NATIONALS WINS 11 MEDALS, 3 ATHLETES SELECTED FOR ASIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Jammu & Kashmir Mixed Martial Arts team delivered a sensational performance at the 2nd Mixed Martial Arts National Championship, held at KD Singh Babu Stadium from 16th to 19th April 2026, securing an impressive haul of 3 Gold, 4 Silver, and 4 Bronze medals.

The championship was organised by the MMA Sports Federation of Uttar Pradesh under the guidance of the Mixed Martial Arts Sports Federation of India, which is affiliated with the Asian Mixed Martial Arts Association and the Global Association of Mixed Martial Arts.

The prestigious event also served as the official selection trials for Asian Games Japan 2026 and the Asian Indoor Martial Arts Games (AIMAG) Riyadh, Saudi Arabia 2026, making the J&K contingentโ€™s success even more significant.

In a major boost for the region, three athletes from Jammu & Kashmir have been selected for the upcoming Asian MMA Championship and Youth MMA Championship 2026, both ranking events for the Asian Games and AIMAG 2026.

This achievement marks the new era of transparent MMA in the region, providing a recognised and credible platform for athletes under the leadership of Mr Fazan.

MMA-SFI R&J SEMINAR 2026

Five officials nominated by the Mixed Martial Arts Sports Association of J&K (Regd.) participated in the National Referees and Judges Seminar & Certification held in Mumbai from 19th to 21st February 2026.

The three-day programme was organised by the Mixed Martial Arts Sports Federation of India (MMA SFI) and hosted by the Mixed Martial Arts Association of Maharashtra.

The seminar was led by renowned technical expert Jitendra Khare Sir, one of the most respected figures in Indian Mixed Martial Arts, along with other senior technical experts. The sessions covered scoring systems, referee commands, positioning, coaching methodologies, safeguarding standards, and competition integrity protocols.
Out of the five nominated officials from Jammu & Kashmir, four successfully qualified the National Examination and were awarded the C-Grade National Referee & Judge License, strengthening the certified officiating structure of the Union Territory.

MMA SAJK is affiliated with the Mixed Martial Arts Sports Federation of India, the national governing body for MMA in India, which is affiliated with the Asian Mixed Martial Arts Association, recognised by the Olympic Council of Asia, and with Global Association of Mixed Martial Arts (GAMMA).
