Shanpora Premier League

The development work of the Shanpora Cricket Playground, approved by the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council in 2025, was initiated with the aim of promoting sports and providing better facilities to the youth. While nearly half of the work has been successfully completed, certain individuals, driven by personal interests, are creating unnecessary obstacles and hindering its progress.
The contractor has made renewed efforts to resume work, particularly on the volleyball field. However, a few elements continue to interfere and prevent the continuation of this important project, which is meant for the welfare of the entire community.
We sincerely urge the Hon’ble MLA Hazratbal sahab to kindly intervene personally and ensure that the work is completed in a timely and efficient manner. We also appeal to the to take necessary action so that such disruptions are prevented, allowing this initiative to move forward smoothly.
This playground is not just a facility but a vital opportunity for our youth to engage in positive activities and stay away from harmful influences such as drug abuse. Its timely completion is essential for the betterment of our society.

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Ghulam Mohamad Dar of Shanpora Habak. The Rasm-e-Chahrum will be conducted at his ancestral graveyard in Kondenpeth on Thursday at 8:00 AM. May Almighty Allah bestow the highest rank in Jannah upon the departed soul, and grant patience and strength to his sons and the entire family to endure this irreparable loss. He is no longer with us in sight, but remains forever in our hearts.
