Day 2 | Sub-Junior Boys Selection Trials 2026-27

231 players turned out on Day 2 of the divisional-level selection trials for Sub-Junior Boys 2026-27.

Kashmir Division:141 players
Jammu Division: 90 players, at Mini Stadium, Parade, Jammu

Players were assessed through competitive match situations on technical skills, tactical understanding, physical fitness, speed, ball control, passing and decision making. The selection committees shortlisted promising players for the next stage.

Trials continue tomorrow as per the notified schedule.

Day 1 of the Sub-Junior Boys Football Trials saw a strong turnout across J&K, with 𝟯𝟬𝟭 𝘁𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 — 𝟮𝟭𝟰 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟴𝟳 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲.

Players are being assessed on technical skills, tactical understanding, physical attributes and overall performance for the 𝗦𝘂𝗯-𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝗼𝘆𝘀 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺.

After a narrow opening defeat to Madhya Pradesh, the boys bounced back with a hard-fought win over Gujarat and closed out with a disciplined, well-organised draw against SAI.

Award Ceremony Held! 🏅

A proud moment at Polo Ground, Srinagar today as Gul Mustafa Dev, J&K's first Winter Olympian who represented India at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, graced the Major Dhyan Chand Memorial Hockey Event award ceremony as Chief Guest. His presence added special significance to the National Sports Day 2026 celebrations, inspiring young athletes with his pioneering legacy in Indian sport.

Badal Sports Club were crowned Winners, with KIC Srinagar finishing as Runners-up. Congratulations to both teams on a well-fought contest!
