Swedish startup Corvid Cleaning developed a clever system designed to teach wild crows to collect discarded cig@rette butts.

Whenever a crow placed a butt inside the specially designed machine, it received food as a reward, turning intelligence into an unusual environmental experiment.

The company successfully trained several hooded crows and hoped to test the idea in Södertälje, although bird safety, permits, funding, and real world effectiveness still needed further study.

A fascinating reminder: protecting our cities may sometimes begin by understanding and working with the incredible intelligence already found in nature.
