Dear All,

It is with profound sadness that I share the news of the passing of our beloved Kunte Kaka.

He was the proud father of Grandmaster Abhijit Kunte and WIM Mrunalini Kunte. In 1998, he established the Buddhibal Kreeda Trust, through which he organized more than 150 chess tournaments, making an invaluable contribution to the growth and promotion of chess.

Kunte Kaka was a strong pillar of our chess family. His dedication, vision, and unwavering support for the chess community will always be remembered. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

🏆 Heartiest Congratulations to KCA Student Alaukik Sinha! 🏆

Alaukik delivered another outstanding performance at the KIIT Category-A Open, scoring 6/10 points and gaining an impressive 140 rating points.

With this achievement, he has now gained a remarkable 392 rating points across his last three tournaments, taking his live FIDE rating to 2152 and successfully crossing the prestigious 2100 rating mark.

What makes this achievement even more special is that Alaukik has earned all of these rating gains while competing exclusively in tournaments within India—a feat accomplished by very few players. His incredible run began with a strong performance at the Maharashtra State U-19 Championship, followed by an excellent showing at the LBHM Tournament, and now a stellar performance at the KIIT GM Open in Odisha.

His dedication, hard work, and fighting spirit have been truly inspiring. This milestone is a testament to his consistent efforts and passion for improvement.

We are immensely proud of your achievement, Alaukik, and wish you continued success in all your upcoming tournaments.
