Nobody talks about the cost of freedom. 🇮🇳
We celebrate the freedom we inherited.
But freedom was never free.
It was paid for with courage.
With sacrifice.
With uncertainty.
With years of struggle.
And perhaps that’s why it means so much to us.
But today, I find myself thinking about another kind of freedom.
The freedom to choose the life and career we want.
The freedom to leave a job that no longer serves us.
The freedom to build something of our own.
The freedom to speak up.
The freedom to be seen for our talent.
The freedom to pursue opportunities beyond our geography.
The freedom to become more than the designation on our business card.
And just like our national freedom…
Career freedom has a cost too.
It costs comfort.
It costs self-doubt.
It costs the willingness to learn again.
It costs the courage to become visible.
And sometimes, it costs us the version of ourselves that was comfortable settling.
So this Independence Day, I’m not just celebrating the freedom we have.
I’m celebrating the courage to create more freedom for ourselves.

Because freedom is not just something we inherit.
