5 BEST WAYS TO MONETISE YOUR LINKEDIN IN 2026
LinkedIn isn't just a place to find a job.
For the right professional, it can become a business-development channel.
Here are 5 legitimate ways to monetize it:
1. Sell your expertise
Consulting, coaching, training, advisory services.
2. Generate qualified leads
Use content to start conversations with potential clients.
3. Build corporate opportunities
Position yourself around a specific business problem and attract organizations.
4. Create paid intellectual property
Workshops, masterclasses, programs, frameworks and resources.
5. Build partnerships
Your LinkedIn presence can attract brands, collaborators, speaking opportunities and strategic relationships.
But here's the part people miss:
You don't monetize LinkedIn by simply posting.
You monetize expertise + positioning + trust + a clear offer.
The platform is the distribution channel.
Your expertise is the product.
Coach Priyam Sharma
Simplifying sales for coaches since 2024|Sales expert| Want help getting (and closing) quality leads? DM"HOW" If yes, here’s the thing. You are not alone. Why?
Are you a coach struggling with generating consistent revenue? Attracting all the leads but finding it hard to qualify and close them? Faced with irregular lead flow, many coaches (70% according to data) push without hope or quit coaching completely. If you’re part of that crew, listen to me.
“Ignoring the problem” is not a solution here! What you have to do instead is:
1) Build a brand that attra
WHAT IF WE LOST OUR LINKEDIN TOMORROW?
What if LinkedIn disappeared tomorrow?
No profile.
No followers.
No posts.
No recommendations.
No creator mode.
No personal brand.
How would you rebuild?
Most professionals would start with their resume.
I wouldn't.
I'd start with three things:
1. Expertise
What do I actually know deeply?
2. Evidence
What have I done that proves it?
3. Relationships
Who already trusts my work?
Because your real professional brand isn't your LinkedIn account.
It's the reputation that exists beyond the platform.
LinkedIn can amplify your reputation.
It cannot manufacture one from nothing.
Build something worth amplifying.

Recently, I had the opportunity to conduct a POSH Awareness Session for the team at Gruve.AI.
The session focused on going beyond simply knowing the law and building a deeper understanding of what it takes to create a safe, respectful and inclusive workplace.
We explored:
🔹 What constitutes sexual harassment at the workplace
🔹 Understanding the POSH Act and its applicability
🔹 Different forms of workplace harassment
🔹 Real-life situations and scenario-based discussions
🔹 The role and responsibilities of employees
🔹 Understanding the Internal Committee (IC) and its role
🔹 How to respond when you experience or witness inappropriate behaviour
🔹 The importance of prevention, awareness and a culture of respect
What I particularly enjoyed was the openness and participation during the session.
The discussions around real workplace situations and everyday grey areas made the learning practical and relevant.
POSH awareness isn't just about compliance.
It is about creating a workplace where people feel safe to speak, confident to report, and responsible for maintaining dignity and respect for one another.
Thank you, .AI, for creating the space for this important conversation.
Because a truly healthy workplace isn't defined only by what is written in a policy- it's defined by how people choose to behave every day.

Recently, I had the opportunity to facilitate an engaging learning experience for a group of young, recently graduated professionals at a leading global bank.
The focus was on three skills that are incredibly important as they begin their professional journey:
🔹 DISC & Self-Awareness – Understanding our own behavioural styles and recognising that people communicate, respond and work differently.
🔹 Communication Skills – Learning to listen actively, communicate with clarity, adapt our style and express ideas with confidence.
🔹 Stakeholder Management – Understanding stakeholders, building relationships, managing expectations and navigating different personalities effectively.
What made the session truly memorable was the energy and participation in the room!
The participants were not just listening—they were discussing, questioning, sharing experiences, participating in activities, working through scenarios and challenging their own perspectives.
It was a wonderful reminder that when young professionals are given the right environment to learn, they bring curiosity, enthusiasm and incredible energy to the room.
I strongly believe that while technical skills help you enter an organisation, skills like communication, self-awareness, collaboration and stakeholder management help you grow within it.
And when learning becomes interactive, practical and fun, it stays with you far beyond the training room. ✨
Grateful for the opportunity to facilitate, learn and grow alongside such an enthusiastic group of future professionals.

Most people focus on doing their job well.
Founders look beyond the task.
They think about what happens next — revenue, customers, people, costs, efficiency, and growth.
And that’s a mindset every professional can develop.
You don’t need a founder’s title to start thinking like one.
Instead of asking:
❌ “Is this my responsibility?”
Start asking:
✅ “What needs to happen?”
Instead of:
❌ “Is the task complete?”
Ask:
✅ “Did we get the right result?”
The professionals who understand the bigger business picture don’t just become better at their jobs — they become harder to overlook.
Don’t just do the job. Start thinking beyond it.
Follow for practical insights on leadership, careers & business.
CAN PEOPLE COMPLETE THIS SENTENCE ABOUT YOU?
“Whenever I think about __________,
I think of you.”
Fill in the blank.
If you can't...
You may have an expertise problem.
Not because you aren't skilled.
Because your expertise is too broad to be memorable.
“I'm good at business.”
Forgettable.
“I help sales teams improve conversion without aggressive selling.”
Specific.
“I'm a leadership coach.”
Broad.
“I help first-time managers transition from doing the work to leading the people.”
Specific.
Being known for something isn't about saying more.
It's about owning a clear association.
THE UNGLAMOROUS HABITS BEHIND EVERY CLIENT WIN
Everyone celebrates the signed contract.
Nobody celebrates what happened before it.
The follow-up nobody saw.
The proposal rewritten three times.
The uncomfortable question asked on the call.
The research done before the meeting.
The objection handled without becoming defensive.
The client conversation that didn't immediately lead to a sale.
Client wins rarely come from one brilliant sales moment.
They are usually the result of small professional habits repeated when nobody is watching.
Great salespeople aren't always charismatic.
They're prepared.
They listen.
They follow through.
They understand the buyer.
And they do the boring things exceptionally well.
The glamorous part is the “yes.”
The real work happened long before it.

Your LinkedIn profile might be costing you opportunities without you even realizing it.
Not because you're inexperienced.
Not because you don't have expertise.
But because your profile may be sending mixed signals.
Your headline says one thing.
Your content says another.
Your About section reads like a resume.
And your posts may be creating engagement without building a clear professional identity.
The problem isn't that you're not doing enough on LinkedIn.
The problem may be that what you're doing isn't aligned.
A strong LinkedIn presence should make three things clear:
→ What you know
→ Who you help
→ What you want to be known for
Before you create your next post, audit your profile first.

And be honest:
If someone discovered your LinkedIn profile for the first time today, would they immediately understand your value?
The Competence Trap
The better you become at your job...
The more likely you are to stay in it.
Sounds strange?
Think about it.
The employee who's excellent at ex*****on keeps getting more ex*****on work.
The employee who starts solving business problems gets leadership opportunities.
Competence is rewarded.
But over time...
It can quietly become a trap.
If everyone knows you as "the person who gets things done"...
Who is learning strategy?
Who is building influence?
Who is making decisions?
At some point in your career...
You have to stop proving you can do the work.
And start proving you can improve the work.
That's when careers change.

Sales objections aren’t rejection. They’re signals.
When a prospect says “It’s too expensive,” “I need to think about it,” “We’re already working with someone,” or “Now isn’t the right time,” the worst thing you can do is push harder.
Instead, get curious.
Ask better questions. Understand the real concern. Create a conversation that builds trust and helps the buyer make a confident decision.
Because great salespeople don’t fight objections.
They know how to navigate them.
