Today 40 team members of the Corporate Gifting Company and GBA Sales Training Academy family came together for a facilitated session by Varun Kapoor Truly 2 hours of madness which led to so many barriers coming down. Saw the inner child in many and you could have been 25 of 75 but everyone participated like there was no tomorrow. This is one gifted guy and has a heart of gold. Proud to call him my friend.

Today had such a lovely conversation with Sanjeev Bikhchandani on the Let's Chat with GB podcast. Generous with his time, knowledge and such gems shared. This afternoon was recording one minute mentor videos and actually wrapped up 3 in under 10 minutes using some props around chess and. perfection (don’t miss my Mr Perfect coffee mug and Mr perfect trump card from 1993). Was also thinking back to 2018 when I first started making videos with Kabeer Lal and Ksh*tij Sheetak when it used to take me 25 mins to do one video with countless retakes and a teleprompter. Hats off to their patience and not freaking out. Fast forward to now, haven’t used a teleprompter in years and putting me in front of a camera is like putting a fish in water. Been a process and thankful to all those who have helped in the journey. 🙏🏻 What was the one thing that’s got easier for you over time?

Someone at BNI India National Conference today gave me a moment to share here.

Spotting my 14-year member badge, he smiled and said in Hindi:

“Sir, 14 saal mein to Ram ji ka bhi banwaas poora ho gaya tha…”
“Aap BNI mein kab tak rahoge?”

I smiled and then I thought about it.

Ram ji completed his 14-year banwaas and returned to claim his kingdom.

I’m not in exile.
I’m in compounding mode.

I believe in anything we do,
Year 1 you’re planting seeds you can’t see.
Year 5 you’re finally getting some traction.
Year 14 the fruits don’t just arrive.
They accelerate and come in abundance.

The referrals I get today, the trust I’ve built, the relationships that open doors, none of it would be here if I’d quit at year 3, year 7, or year 10 when it “felt like enough.”

This is not the time to leave BNI.
This is the time to double down.

Most people abandon things right before compounding kicks in.

Their business. Their relationships. Their craft. Their network.

They mistake longevity for comfort, maybe even complacency.

Sometimes the smartest thing you can do isn’t walk away, it’s going deeper.

Quite an adventure for the 17 of us from who were stranded on the game reserve and finally a helicopter evacuation was needed. Good fun and great conversations amongst everyone there. Disappointed to not get out on the game reserve more … but there’s always next time.
