Round 7 & 8 full of surprises at the National Under-9 Chess Championship.

R:8 In the Girls' section, the upsets continued as one of the tournament favorites, Arsh*tha S 1619 (T.N.) was defeated by Arpitangshi Bhattacharya 1545 West Bengal. Another major result saw WCM Anvi Deepak Hinge go down against Teesha Byadwal 1593 Rajasthan, proving once again that every game in this championship is a tough battle, regardless of ratings. Meanwhile, Madhu Sree Duvvala 1550 (Telangana) produced a solid performance by holding tournament leader Nandi Pritika 1644 (Maharashtra) to a draw, keeping the title race wide open heading into the final rounds.

R:8 The Open section was just as exciting. With all the top boards ending decisively, the leaderboard witnessed another shake-up. Ayaans Singh now stands alone at the top with 7.5/8, while a strong chasing pack of Shreyansh Das 2036 (Karnataka), Siddhant 1893 (Tamil Nadu), and Viaansh Bhatnagar 1768 (Rajasthan) follows closely on 7/8. With only 3 rounds remaining, every game from here could decide the next National Under-9 Champion
