Under the expert guidance and dedicated training of Sensei Ankur Dey, the Empowerment Academy of Martial Arts, Maharashtra has achieved a remarkable feat at the 9th All India Kyokushin Full Contact Karate National Championship, held in Bangalore on 22nd–23rd August 2026.

Our Maharashtra team proudly produced five National Champions across major categories in fullcontact Kumite showcasing exceptional skill, discipline, fighting spirit, and determination against strong competitors from across India.
This outstanding achievement is a testament to the hard work of our fighters, the relentless training of Sensei Ankur Dey, and the spirit of Kyokushin.

Maharashtra Creates History at the 9th All India Kyokushin Full Contact Karate Tournament. The 9th All India Kyokushin Full Contact Karate Tournament held in Bengaluru on August 22nd and 23rd, 2026, brought together over 300 competitors from across India. Under the expert guidance of Sensei Ankur Dey of the Empowerment Academy of Martial Arts, the 15-member Maharashtra contingent delivered a stellar performance, securing 11 podium finishes, the best result to date for Maharashtra in full contact Kyokushin Karate kumite. Gold medal champions include Janvi Subhash Diwakar (under 18 girls), Ranveir Singh Rana (under 18 boys) , Preksha Pampingle (under 16 girls), Viraat Rana (under12 boys), and Kabir Ahmed Dafedar (senior men's lightweight). Silver medal winners were Inaira Suri (under 16 girls) and Karan Sen Mishra (under 13 boys),
This performance marks Maharashtra's most successful showing in the tournament's history. After the event, Sensei Ankur Dey congratulated all medal winners and participants for their determination, fighting spirit, and commitment, and expressed sincere gratitude to parents, supporters, and tournament organizers for their continuous support.
