Dr. Rajesh Desai and the Shield Foundation paramedical team conducted in-home medical checkups for bedridden patients at Vashi Naka, ensuring that those unable to travel receive the care and attention they deserve.
Through door-to-door visits, the team provided health assessments, symptom management, treatment guidance, medication support, and emotional care for patients and their families.
This initiative reflects our commitment to making healthcare accessible, compassionate, and inclusive — because quality healthcare should reach everyone, especially those who need it the most.

Shield Foundation is creating an ecosystem to provide holistic relief to the elderly Mrs.
Since its inception in 2010, Shield Foundation has been the embodiment of dedication and compassion, thanks to our visionary founder, Mrs. Swati Ingole, a seasoned social worker with a wealth of experience from her work with international non-profits. At our Matunga Centre, Shield Foundation continues to support senior citizens through regular meal distribution, ensuring they receive nutritious food and the care they deserve.
This initiative goes beyond addressing hunger—it promotes better health, helps prevent malnutrition, and provides a sense of comfort and belonging. Every meal reflects our commitment to caring for our elders and building a community where no one is left behind.
Every journey towards a better future begins with a single conversation. 💙
Our mobilizers are actively working across Matunga Labour Camp and Dharavi, connecting with families, understanding their aspirations, and introducing students to opportunities through our GD&A Nursing Program.
By visiting communities and building trust, they help young individuals take the first step towards skill development, employment, and a brighter future.
Together, we are paving the way for skilled careers and brighter futures in healthcare.

Our GDA students at Shield Foundation are trained beyond textbooks through interactive role play sessions. These activities recreate real healthcare environments, helping students understand patient care, communication, and workplace responsibilities.
By practicing real-life scenarios, students gain hands-on experience, improve confidence, and develop the skills needed to succeed in the healthcare sector.
Our nursing students recently participated in an exposure visit to a Children Hospital to gain practical insights into pediatric healthcare and clinical practices. 🏥✨
The visit provided students with hands-on learning experiences, helping bridge the gap between classroom knowledge and real-world patient care. It also enhanced their confidence, professional understanding, and awareness of career opportunities in the healthcare sector.
Such exposure visits play an important role in preparing students for future careers while helping them develop practical skills essential for the nursing profession.
At Shield Foundation’s Dharavi Centre, we empower young individuals to achieve financial independence through focused vocational training programs. Designed for holistic growth, our courses combine technical skills with confidence-building.
The program includes 4 months of training (4 hours daily), followed by 1 month of On-the-Job Training, along with strong placement support. Spoken English and soft skills training further prepare candidates for professional success.
With courses in ITES BPO, BUSY Software, and Customer Relationship & Sales, we are creating job-ready individuals and transforming lives through skill development.
