Two things can be true about your birth at the same time.
You can feel grateful for your baby and still feel disappointed about how the birth unfolded.
You can feel proud of yourself and still wish some things had been different.
You can love parts of your birth experience and still find other parts difficult to process.
Birth can hold more than one feeling, and that's okay.

Many mothers think soft breasts mean no milk or low milk supply!! Not true!
As breastfeeding becomes established, your breasts may feel softer while still producing plenty of milk.
A few things to remember:
- Breast softness is not a reliable sign of low milk supply.
- Your baby’s feeding pattern can change from day to day.
- Wet diapers, swallowing during feeds, and steady weight gain are better indicators of adequate milk intake.
- Frequent feeding helps your body continue to make milk according to your baby's needs.
- Feed on demand
If you're concerned about your milk supply, speak to our lactation consultant.

Postpartum support doesn't always need grand gestures.
Sometimes, it sounds like:
“I'll take the baby. You rest.”
“Have you eaten?”
“You don't have to do everything today.”
“Tell me what you need.”
“I am here for you .”
Small acts of support can make a mother feel seen, cared for, and less alone during postpartum recovery.

Pregnancy comes with many changes, and not all of them are talked about.
Here are a few symptoms that can be completely normal:
- Increased vaginal discharge
- Bleeding or sensitive gums
- Nasal congestion
- Increased sweating or feeling warmer
- Skin changes and pigmentation
- Leg cramps
- Constipation or bloating
- Increased urination
Every pregnancy is different. Knowing what to expect can help you feel more prepared and less worried.
If a symptom feels unusual, severe, or concerning, speak to your doctor.

Weaning is not just about stopping breastfeeding. It’s a transition for your body, your baby—and you.
As a Lactation Educator, I remind mothers that weaning can bring both physical and emotional changes. As milk removal decreases, hormonal shifts may affect your mood, energy and sense of well-being.
You may experience:
• Sadness or unexpected tears
• Irritability or emotional heaviness
• Feeling overwhelmed or disconnected
• Missing the closeness and connection of breastfeeding
🌿 How can you make weaning gentler?
✨ Wean gradually whenever possible rather than stopping suddenly.
✨ Replace breastfeeding moments with cuddles, rocking, reading or another comforting ritual.
✨ Give yourself permission to grieve this chapter—it’s okay to miss it.
✨ Prioritise hydration, nourishing meals and rest.
✨ Lean on your partner, family or support system.
✨ Pay attention to your breasts too—gradual weaning can help reduce discomfort and engorgement.
And remember: there is no “right” timeline for weaning. Your journey should be based on your baby’s needs, your needs and your individual circumstances.
If sadness or anxiety feels intense or continues, please reach out to our mental health psychologist specialising in prenatal and postnatal care. You don’t have to navigate this transition alone. 🤍

Your baby is born with more than just five senses.
In fact, newborns use seven sensory systems to understand their body, connect with you, and experience the world around them.
These include:
- Vision
- Hearing
- Taste
- Smell
- Touch
- Proprioception
- Vestibular sense
Your voice, touch, movement, and everyday interactions all give your baby's developing brain opportunities to learn.
Join our Newborn Care Session to understand your baby's development and learn how to support them from the very beginning.
