This World Capoeirista Day, we’re celebrating Capoeira - an art form where movement meets music, every exchange is a conversation, and the circle (roda) is powered by rhythm, respect, and community.

Here’s to moving with purpose, playing with joy, and celebrating culture in all its forms. 🌿🤸🏽‍♀️

Meet Priyanka, founder (and heart) behind Comini, a microschool born from a simple, powerful question: what if learning could be different?

Her journey is a beautiful reminder that sometimes the most meaningful paths are the ones we never planned.

What began as a search for something better for her own children has grown into a thriving community rooted in curiosity, care, and rethinking childhood itself.
Between school days filled with questions and wonder, and moments on her yoga mat or with a good book, Priyanka continues to evolve, holding space for learning, unlearning, and everything in between.

And somewhere along the way, The Steps became part of her story too 🤍

Here’s to the many versions we hold within us, and the courage to keep becoming.

A place to PAUSE. SIT. ENJOY a moment of peace. 🪴🧘‍♀️

Earlier a dumping ground, a desolate space that people living on Mount Mary for 30 years+ would never even think of visiting, although it’s just opposite a historic landmark – 📍St. Stephen’s Church, Bandra.
Our strategy: design a multi-use, barrier-free open space:
- a wide staircase with a ramp to allow ease of access to pedestrians, cyclists, prams, differently-abled people. Great for connectivity to the lower part of Mount Mary.
- The flight of stairs breaks at its mid landing into a central gathering area, an open air theatre, great for programming for the community (various communal events and recreational activities).
