Himalaya's Beckon is proud to officially present the mountaineering team embarking on our upcoming expedition to Mt. Leo Pargial - II.

Towering at 6,792 meters in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh, Mount Leo Pargial is a prominent peak of the Zanskar Range along the Indo-Tibetan border. Rising above the stark, trans-Himalayan rain-shadow of Nako village, the mountain presents a formidable alpine environment.

The ascent is characterized by rugged scree slopes, crevassed glaciers, technical ice walls, and a highly exposed, knife-edge summit ridge subject to severe gales. Far removed from standard routes, it remains one of the region's most demanding peaks, representing a pure test of technical mountaineering in an unforgiving, high-altitude landscape.

From September 12 to October 3, 2026, the team at Himalaya's Beckon will embark on the Mt. Leo Pargil-II (6792m) expedition, integrating:

🚯 Clean Trails Campaign: Active waste collection and trail restoration
📖 Empowerment Drive: Educational supply donation and outreach initiatives in surrounding mountain settlements

A team of 6 members of our organisation crossed SAR PASS (13800ft) at Himachal Pradesh in the month of May- June 2026.
Members are as follows:
1) Manas Sarkar- Leader

5) Saranath Ghosh- Member
6) Saptarshi Ghosh- Member
Team left kolkata on 22nd May 2026 and returned kolkata on 1st June 2026. All the members enjoyed a lot.
In earlier May- 2026 two members of our organisation also crossed the same pass, they are Miss Saheli Das and Md. Samim.
We thank all the members for their utmost support to make the trek successful.

Today, on Everest Day, we honor the unparalleled courage, human endurance, and spirit of adventure of Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay. On May 29, 1953, they achieved the impossible by becoming the first to reach the summit of Mount Everest. We have completed our graduation ceremony at Paschim Banga Bangla Academy/ Nandan complex on 17th April 2026.
On that day our Guest was Mr. Ratanlal Biswas, Dr. Kallol Das and Mr. Debashis Biswas.
Trainees of 44th Rock Climbing Course 2025 , participants of Duka valley trek, well wishers & club members attended this program.
We distributed certificates to all the trainees for the above mentioned course and to the participants of DUKA VALLEY TREK.
This year Beckon Garba Sammanana for the year 2025 handed over to Mr. Anindya Kumar Sinha Roy, senior member of the club by our president Sri Anup Kumar Dutta.
On that day we showed digital Slides Of Duka valley trek and slides of Pameer by our beloved Ratan Lal Biswas.
We thanked Mr. Ratanlal Biswas for his beautiful slides and to all the viewers to make the program a grand success by their utmost support.

Just few days ago 2nd April to 8th April 2026 we have completed our summer trek from Rishop to Duka valley at Kalimpong District.
We thanked all the participants and our guide Rapsol of Duka village, for their utmost effort to complete the trek with grand success.
