The India U-16 Football team qualified for the 2020 AFC U-16 Championship final after holding Uzbekistan to a 1-1 draw.
India qualified on account of being the table topper of Group B. With two wins and a draw, India collected seven points to finish above Bahrain, Uzbekistan and Turmenistan.
For the last six times out of 10, India has qualified for the showpiece tournament and once taken part as hosts since 2002.

OFFICIAL: Dimitris Dimitriou from Cyprus has been roped in as the head coach of ACIESTA TRAU FC for the 2019-20 season.
The 49-year old Cyprian-British arrives in India with a wealth of experience under his belt having previously worked for the likes of Manchester City and Northern Ireland. He also holds a UEFA Pro Coaching License. We wish him all the best.

Former Pakistan spin legend Abdul Qadir has breathed his last after suffering from cardiac arrest at the age of 63 in Lahore. In his career, Qadir played 67 Test and 104 ODI matches. He was also the chief selector for the national team and served as a match commentator.
