Wishing a very Happy Birthday sourav!!!!
Few sights in cricket match the beauty of your upright seam drifting in, kissing the pitch, and violently shaping away to send the off-stump for a walk. Opponents might bring the hype, but Sourav brings the masterclass in outthinking the batter and rattling the timber.
βMay the year ahead bring endless fifers, unplayable spells, and massive victories. Keep making the ball talk and dominating the 22 yards, champ! ππ₯π

TCS Cricket Team - Kolkata condemns the act and incident that happened today at Vivekananda Samity Ground, Agarpara.
Today TCS was to go head-on with Bharti Axa in the Final of the Knights United Cup and management of this year had outstandingly worse !!
The match was scheduled to start at 2PM. The entire TCS team was present in the ground and set for a 2PM start while the opponent team were not available entirely with 2 players present on the ground.
Finally the match started when the entire team from the opposition arrived and match started at 2.39 PM (attached screenshot for reference).
Now the fun part is the organisers have made a mockery out of the situation.
1. On an ideal situation if an opponent is late the other team should be penalised for a deferred start with so much delay.
2. But inspite the delay based on some funny logics πππ like β¦ βYou cannot penalise a team in the final despite being lateβ .. βThey have paid and playing the tournamentβ - which seems utterly non sense coming from a once upon a time coveted organiser.
Coming back β¦ the 1st of the match completed very late obviously which coincided with some other social activities which is scheduled every week on Sundayβs for specially abled champions for an hour.
Tcs showing moral responsibilities denied to continue with the game in such circumstances with the specially abled children in the close proximity of the ground with a narrow escape for one child who almost got hit.
Tcs refused to continue the game and that is when a supposedly organising member whom we had never seen before rushed in like a hooligan protesting as to why TCS has stopped the game and that if somebody is hit they will take care of it which did not seem ethical. On disagreement, he started cussing TCS players and threatening them bare chested - β i will see how you guys leave the groundβ .. β you dont know who i am β .
This is a real shocker for TCS who regarded Knights United Organisers as sensible and popular one - but it seems the people deployed on the ground for supervising the match has no relation to game spirit of cricket for miles..
A glimpse of how the tournament has degraded its standard inspite of a steep rise in the budget.
1. Matches played on one sie of the pitch
2. No bells available for the match
3. No lunch or refreshments for the teams in the final
4. No Live Broadcast for the finals
5. Bare chested hooligan representative supervising the match.
Congrats to Bharti Axa for coming late at your perusal and getting away with penalisation and also being awarded with the match with a DLS method after 2.4 over of the match which according to rule cannot be imposed and stands null and void unless the 2nd innings has already had 5 overs completed. (Screenshot attached) .
Congrats to Knights United for the excellent organisers and making a mockery of the sport. Cheers!!
