We at BFA are happy to inform you that four trainees of Bengal Football Academy (BFA) have been selected in the final squad of 20 players for the Bengal U-16 National Team for participation in the prestigious BC Roy Trophy.

The selected BFA players are:

Satyajit Murmu (Side back)
Shibajit Murmu (Striker/Winger)
Santiram Hansda (Striker/Winger)
Janmenjoy Mahato (GK)

BFA is also proud to announce that Mr. Suman Sarkar, U-16 Head Coach of BFA, has been selected as the Assistant Coach of the Bengal U-16 Team, which will be under the guidance of Head Coach Mr. Goutam Ghosh.

The matches of the tournament will be held in Bangalore.

This is a matter of great pride for Bengal Football Academy and reflects the continued progress of the Academy in developing talented players and coaches for representation at the State and National Level.

We wish the very best to Team Bengal!! Make us proud..

Though BFA lost a very tight match against Southern Samity 1-0. The boys fought till the very last. Very proud of the effort but chances need to be converted, that's the rule right?

Exhibition Match | 23.06.2026

Bengal Football Academy was delighted to accept the invitation to play an exhibition match against the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Coaching Camp, under the guidance of Sri Sasti Duley.

Despite heavy rainfall throughout the evening, the enthusiasm on and off the field never faded. The excellent arrangements, warm hospitality, and well-organised event created a fantastic atmosphere for players and spectators alike. Credit to the organisers for ensuring the match was conducted so smoothly despite the challenging weather.

The match was played in the true spirit of football, with both teams displaying discipline, determination, and sportsmanship. BFA emerged victorious with a 1–0 win, but the result was secondary to the quality of football and the passion shown by both sides.

A special mention to the players of the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Coaching Camp. Having trained together for only about a week, they showed remarkable commitment, teamwork, and fighting spirit—a promising sign for the future.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Sri Sasti Duley and everyone associated with the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Coaching Camp for the invitation and their outstanding efforts in organising the event.

We wish the coaching camp continued success and look forward to many more such matches that strengthen the footballing community.
