The Softball Association of India expresses its profound grief at the demise of Raja Randhir Singh ji, a colossus of the Olympic movement and an enduring icon of Indian sport.
An exemplar of sporting excellence, Raja Randhir Singh ji’s remarkable legacy is defined by his participation in five Olympic Games, his honor as an Arjuna Awardee, his tenure as Interim President of the Olympic Council of Asia, and his pivotal role as former Secretary General of the Indian Olympic Association. Through decades of distinguished service, he elevated Indian sport on the global stage with unmatched dedication and foresight.
Beyond his groundbreaking feat as the first Indian to clinch an Asian Games Gold Medal in Trap Shooting, he will be revered as a beacon of wisdom and mentorship. His guidance shaped the aspirations of generations of athletes and sports administrators across the nation.
