It is with profound sorrow that the Handball Federation of India (HFI) has learned of the sad demise of Sardar Joginder Singh Gill, beloved father of Dr. Gursharan Singh Gill, HFI Hony. Treasurer, on 17 August 2026 due to cardiac arrest.

On behalf of HFI, Secretary General Dr. Pritpal Singh Saluja, has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for strength and courage to bear this irreparable loss. The entire handball fraternity stands in solidarity with the family during this difficult time.

The cremation will take place on 18 August 2026 at 11:30 AM at Village Nakhta Chatha, Sunam, Sangrur.

May the departed soul rest in peace.
