Rules of Dance Class

The rules of the dance class are designed to promote a better dance experience for everyone.
**By following and enforcing these rules, we will be able to keep our dance environment and dancers safe. No parents are allowed in the classroom. Even if you feel your child is anxious and does better with you near, understand that your presence will distract your child as well as all the other children. Be considerate of all the students and be patient. The instructor is trained to encourage a shy child until he/she feels comfortable joining in the class. It will only take a lesson or two for your child to discover the joy of dance. If he/she learns the first day that the studio is for "dancers only" they will quickly understand customary dance classroom etiquette. The studio should be neat and clean at all times to avoid damage to the studio floors and furniture as well as student's shoes and personal belongings. No food, pop, snacks, gum chewing in the studio. We would like to avoid gum on dance shoes, clothes, floors. Parents need to inform the office staff if a dancer is to be picked-up by someone other than the usual arrangement, or if they are going to be more than 15 minutes late for pick-up. Students need to call their parents and inform the office prior to changing their plans, such as leaving with a friend to go home. Make staff aware of anyone unfamiliar who enters the dance studio. Students should inform the teacher and office immediately of anything unusual happening.

* Students not properly dressed may not be allowed to take class. *

*Cover-ups (dance skirts, Jeans, sweatshirts, leg warmers, pants, etc.) are not allowed to be worn during dance class.*
