Enjoy your vacation… you’ll deal with the weight gain later.

That’s probably the worst advice people keep giving.

I just spent 11 days in Japan.

And yes, I ate everything.

🥞 Pancakes
🧇 Waffles
🍡 Mochi
🍜 Ramen
🍔 Burgers
🍦 Desserts

I didn’t track calories.

I didn’t carry a weighing scale.

I didn’t avoid my favourite foods.

And I came back without gaining even an ounce of fat.

Why?

Because fat gain doesn’t happen because of a few indulgent meals.

It happens when indulgence turns into an all day, everyday event.

Here’s what I did differently:

✅ I ate the foods I wanted, but as part of meals not as constant snacking.

✅ I only ate when I was hungry, not because food was available everywhere.

✅ I kept my water intake high.

✅ Zero calorie drinks became my best friend.

✅ I walked 20,000+ steps every single day.

The biggest mistake people make on vacations?

They stop making decisions.

Every meal becomes a cheat meal.

Every snack becomes a “why not?”

Every craving becomes a “I’m on vacation.”

And suddenly a 10 day holiday turns into a month of damage control & Guilt.

But, Vacations are meant for memories.

Always remember why you’re there.

A little awareness gives you the freedom to enjoy everything without feeling like you’ve ruined months of hard work.

I came back with souvenirs, memories, and hundreds of photos.

Not extra body fat.

And that’s a win I’ll take every time. 🇯🇵❤️

If I ever had to choose between truth and transparency,
I’d choose transparency every single time.

Because truth can be selective.
Transparency leaves no room to hide.

Know the difference?

Most people think that vacations ruin progress.
That if you travel — you can’t eat, party, or truly enjoy yourself.

But that’s not really true.
It’s all about managing your food and movement — the best you can, wherever you are.

We just got back from our Annual Trip to Bangkok (3rd–8th Oct) 🇹🇭
The first picture was clicked on 30th Sept, and the second one today — 10th Oct.

➡️ Weight before the trip: 69.5 kg
➡️ Weight today: 69 kg

And trust me — there were lots of desserts, sugary drinks, and carb-heavy meals.
Being vegetarian, I didn’t even bother hunting for protein-rich food. 😅

So how did I still come back lighter?
Three simple things:

1️⃣ Stayed Active: Averaged around 15k steps/day — lots of walking, exploring, and standing.

2️⃣ Ate Mindfully: Didn’t obsess over “right” foods, but focused on portion control — took smaller servings, enjoyed what was available without overeating.

3️⃣ Drank Plenty of Water: Stayed hydrated, which kept me full and energized throughout.

These sound simple — but when done consistently, they change how you travel, eat, and feel about your health. ✨

So next time you travel, remember — it’s not about perfection.
It’s about awareness and balance. 🌍💪

3 months. 1 clinic. Countless moments of compassion, care, and transformation.

3 powerful insights we’ve gathered while working with almost 100+ postpartum mothers in the first 3 months at Omama..

1. Awareness is alarmingly low.
Nearly 90% of mothers who visited us had no idea what Diastasis Recti or pelvic floor dysfunction even meant. They came just to “see what postpartum care is”… and left realising that the pain and discomfort they were living with wasn’t “normal” — just unaddressed. 🤔

2. Support alone isn’t enough.
Even with supportive families and partners, these women needed professional care, clinical guidance, and healing space.
They are not looking for just treatment, they are looking for community 🤝

3. The need is real. The demand is growing. We’ve had mothers travel over 100 km to take the sessions. And its painful for us, seeing mothers travelling from such long distances, thank god we have online support as well 😍👊🏻

Some numbers that reassure us we’re on the right path:

• 60% patients took the Healing Plan after the initial diagnosis.

• 227 sessions delivered by our doctors in April.. Around 9 per a day
• We started with 2 doctors, hired our 3rd this month… and based on our current growth, our 4th doctor will be joining us in May!

• And finally, we have finalised the location of our 2nd clinic in Delhi.

We are deeply grateful for the trust mothers are placing in Omama — and we’re just getting started.

And our mission is to redefine Post-partum care in India, where IVF, maternity clinics are a regular thing but when it comes to postpartum, there is no awareness 🙏🙌🏻
