How to keep your kids safe online.
There are so many positive things about being online like staying connected with friends and family, pursuing interests, and being part of communities. But it is not always a safe and positive experience for children.
Here's how you can help your child maximize all the good things the internet and digital technologies have to offer, while protecting them against potential harm
1. Set clear ground rules
Have honest conversations with your children about who they communicate with and how, and who can see what they post online.
Explain that anything that goes online – pictures, videos, comments, things they share with others and what others post and share with them and about them – leaves behind a trail of information about them. To make sure they’re leaving a positive “digital footprint”, they should be mindful about what they do and say online.
Make sure they understand that discriminatory or inappropriate contact is never acceptable. No one should spread rumours or share hurtful or embarrassing stories or photos. What may seem like a harmless joke to one person can be deeply hurtful to others.
If your child experiences something online that makes them feel upset, uncomfortable or scared, encourage them to tell you or a trusted adult immediately.
2. Use technology to protect them
Check that your child’s device is always updated and running the latest software, and that privacy settings are on and configured to minimize data collection so that people don’t see any information that you don’t want them to see.
3. Spend time with them online
Create opportunities for your child to have safe and positive online interactions with friends, family and you. Connecting with others can be an excellent opportunity for you to model kindness and empathy in virtual interactions.
Help your child recognize and avoid misinformation and disinformation, age-inappropriate content and content that can potentially cause anxiety or other harm. Introduce them to trustworthy sources of information.
Children can be exposed to advertising that may promote unhealthy foods, gender stereotypes or age-inappropriate material. Help them to recognize online ads and use the opportunity to explore together what is wrong with some of the negative messaging you see.
Help your child learn to keep personal information private. If your privacy settings are not secure, anyone can see your information.
Keep webcams covered when not in use. For younger children, tools such as parental controls like safe search, can help keep online experiences positive.
4. Model healthy online habits
Promote positive online behaviour by practicing it yourself. Be mindful of the example you set and what you share online about your child, including their photos and videos.
Encourage your child to be kind online and to support friends and family by sending positive messages or emojis.
If they have classes online, encourage them to be respectful of others and to be mindful of what can be seen on camera to maintain privacy.
Be alert if your child appears to be upset or secretive with online activities. Reassure them that experiencing abuse or harassment is never their fault and they shouldn’t keep it a secret.

WAYS TO CELEBRATE POLLUTION FREE DIWALI WITH KIDS :)
Diwali or Deepawali is the ‘festival of lights’ celebrated with lots of enthusiasm across the world. It symbolises the victory of good over evil and light over darkness.
We at pabel, thought of possible ways to have safe and pollution free Diwali without crackers but also one that is fun for the kids :
1. Light it up :
The essence of Diwali is lighting lamps. Make mud diyas and fill them with ghee or mustard oils and use cotton wicks to light these lamps. Kids will absolutely love doing the same with you. So it will not only be a family activity but also a fun one for sure.
2. Make Some Noise :
If noise is what attracts you to Diwali crackers, then why not choose balloons. Use glitter or colorful papers and fill up balloons. Blow up several balloon bunches and think of innovative games and blow those balloons. Kids will love the blowing balloons activity prior to Diwali celebrations and will be thrilling to hear the loud bursting noises of balloons
3. Decorate your House :
Another activity which is associated with Diwali is cleaning and decorating the house. One can make rangolis and add colorful patterns and decorate the house. One can also use glittery garlands to add some color to the celebration. Be innovative and make arty buntings and banners that can be hung as torans on the entry of your house.
4. Gratitude & Share with Society :
Be thankful for all we have, talk to kids and help them understand the importance of what we have. create smal gifts pack and plan to go out and hand over gifts to people who are in need , people who are doing their duty on this festival like Police department , security guards. When kids will see the smile on their face, they wil glitter with happiness.
5. Plant a Tree & Thank Nature-
Start a ritual of planting a tree with your kids. Let them become a garderner :) and play. Also ask them to take care of the plant and see them grow year after year. When Kids own the resposibility like this, they will form special bond with their Plant !
We at pabel, Wish you all a very happy diwali. Have lots of fun, enjoy the delicacies and spread lots of joy .
We are running a contest in this season - Share your diwali celebration pics with us - you can post here or email to us at [email protected] and the best 3 entries will get surpise gifts from our team ! - Happy Diwali

Protect children from the impacts of air pollution
According to the World Health Organization, air pollution has 'a vast and terrible impact on child health. Globally, 93 per cent of all children live in environments with air pollution levels above the WHO guidelines.
Poor air quality is very dangerous for children. In fact, the pollutants are more harmful to children than adults because their vital body parts or organs, including lungs, are still developing. Children are more likely to catch respiratory problems very easily compared to adults. So, in such times, extra care needs to be taken of children when the air around is so polluted. Here are few steps that can be taken :
1. Diet- Add Vitamin C
Add more Vitamin C to your childern’s diet. Vegetables like chaulai ka saag, drumsticks, parsley, cabbage can be added. Give them amla, oranges, or guava, all rich sources of Vitamin C. This vitamin is an antioxidant that protects the body from the harmful effects of air pollution
2. Encourage your kids to wear face masks
Encourage and explain the importance of wearing a mask. Tell them to cover their faces that'll ensure protection. Also put on a mask yourself- kids learn and adapt much faster watching their parents doing the same.
3. Keep air-purifying plants at home
To improve the air quality within your house and inhale clean air, keep aloe vera, spider plant, snake plant, bamboo palm, and various other plants in your house.
4. Restrict outdoor activities :
One of the ways to prevent them from coming in contact with the polluted air is to keep them indoors most of the time, at least for now. You can involve them in some creative artwork of their choice
5. Apply ghee in each nostril
This is a natural home remedy to reduce respiratory problems. You can apply ghee to each nostril and follow the same routine for your kids as well

Effective ways to develop study skills in children :
1. Create designated space for childern
2.Keep a planner-Time management is an incredibly important aspect of effective study skills
3. Take effective notes-Have you heard of Cornell Notes? Utilizing this classic note-taking system can help your child process information taught in class and truly retain what they’ve learned
4.Practice for tests-Simply reviewing content before a test isn’t necessarily the best method to ensure your child is prepared for an upcoming test.
5.Teach your child to ask for help. how to bring up challenges early with a teacher and ask for help—and don’t be afraid to bring up concerns
We at Pabel, conduct sessions with experienced teachers, counsellers to help your kid reach his/her full potential. Reach out to us for a knowledge session at [email protected], 077019 43941

Personal hygiene for children
Good hygiene is all about keeping yourself and your environment clean. Hygiene is essential for preventing diseases and maintaining good health
Teach your kids to wash their hands with water and soap. Even if kids are not going out to play, they grab anything and everything that is within their reach. While you must be keeping your house clean, but it is likely that dust gets accumulated on the table tops and the show-pieces by the time you clean them the next time. Therefore, it is better to ensure that your kids wash their hands thoroughly, especially before eating, after using washroom and after tending to pets in the house (if any).
Teach your kids to wash vegetables and fruits before eating. Fruits and vegetables generally have E.coli bacteria on their outer surface. Also, they pass through many hands before reaching your home. Thus, they should be consumed only after they have been washed carefully.
You should teach your children to cover their mouth with a tissue or handkerchief while coughing and sneezing. This is one of the most effective ways to contain the spread of infectious diseases
