A proud moment for our Khelo India Stag Table Tennis Academy. 🏓
At the inaugural ceremony of the 22nd Commonwealth Table Tennis Championships 2026 in New Delhi, our Director, Dronacharya Awardee Shri Sandeep Gupta ji, played a friendly knock with Hon'ble Education Minister, Government of NCT of Delhi, Shri Ashish Sood ji — opening the Championships in the most fitting way possible with a rally.
The occasion was also graced by Hon'ble Chief Minister of Delhi, Smt. Rekha Gupta ji, who watched the exchange from close quarters. Her presence, and the Delhi Government's continued encouragement to sport in the capital, means a great deal to everyone working at the grassroots of this game.
For our young players watching, this was the real lesson of the evening — when those who lead the city pick up a bat themselves, it says more about Delhi's commitment to sport than any speech could.
Delhi welcomes athletes and delegations from across the Commonwealth from 27 July to 2 August 2026. Our best wishes to every player taking the table this week. 🇮🇳

A proud moment for STAG Table Tennis Academy! 🏓🇮🇳
Olympian Neha Aggarwal and Utkarsh Gupta, Rajiv Gandhi State Awardee, were invited as Special Guests at the Official Mascot Unveiling Ceremony of the 22nd Commonwealth Table Tennis Championship 2026.
The prestigious ceremony was graced by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi, Smt. Rekha Gupta, and Hon’ble Minister of Education & Sports, Shri Ashish Sood, who officially unveiled “Mayur”, the official mascot of the **22nd Commonwealth Table Tennis Championship 2026.
The unveiling of Mayur, inspired by India’s national bird, symbolizes grace, pride, unity, and the vibrant spirit of the Commonwealth nations. The event marked an important milestone in the countdown to the championship and celebrated India’s commitment to promoting table tennis on the international stage.
