Maybe the deeper practice of Yoga begins when the practice doesn’t end on the mat.

The more I learn about Yoga, the more I realise how little of it is actually about the postures.

Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras contain 196 sutras, and the direct explanation of asana in the Samadhi Pada is only three sutras — Sthira Sukham Asanam being one of them.

And yet, today, we often measure our Yoga by how flexible we are, how advanced our asanas look, or how long we can hold an inversion.

But the deeper questions are different.

What happens when someone triggers you?

Can you pause before reacting?

What happens when things don’t go according to your plan?

Can you remain steady?

When your mind is overwhelmed, can you notice it and return to your breath?

When you make a mistake, can you meet yourself with compassion instead of constantly judging yourself?

When you want something badly, can you still practise letting go?

This, to me, is where Yoga starts becoming a way of living.

The asana is not meaningless — it teaches us discipline, patience, awareness, strength and humility.

But eventually, those qualities have to travel with us beyond the mat.

Because what is the point of being able to hold a beautiful posture if we cannot hold ourselves together when life becomes uncomfortable?

I’m still deeply grateful for the girl who wanted to master every posture.

She brought me here.

But today, I’m much more interested in what Yoga is teaching me about my mind, my reactions, my relationships, my choices and the person I am becoming.

Maybe that’s the journey:

from doing Yoga
to living Yoga. 🤍

Dealing with heavy hair fall this monsoon? 🌧️ It’s not just the humidity outside,it’s what’s happening INSIDE your body.

In Ayurveda, your hair is a direct reflection of your Rasa Dhatu, which means your “nutrient plasma.”

When the rainy season slows down your digestion, your body fails to produce high-quality Rasa Dhatu. Your hair roots are the first to get starved, leading to sudden shedding! 🍂

To stop monsoon hair fall, you must nourish your body from within.

Here is how to increase your Rasa Dhatu right now:

1) Fennel Water: Sip water boiled with 1 teaspoon of fennel seeds throughout the day.
2) Warm Water: Drink only warm or room-temperature water; avoid ice.
3) Pomegranates: Eat fresh pomegranate daily to build clean plasma quickly.
4)Morning Amla: Drink 1 teaspoon of Amla powder in warm water empty stomach.
5)Soak Seeds: Always soak almonds, raisins, and Haleem seeds overnight.
6) No Packaged Snacks: Cut out dry chips, biscuits, and fried items.
7)Limit Caffeine: Reduce daily tea and coffee intake to prevent acidity.
8)Mindful Eating: Put your phone away and chew food without distractions.

EXCITING NEWS: To make internal nourishment super easy for you, I am dropping a step-by-step recipe video very soon for my special Monsoon Hair Care Haleem & Pumpkin Seed Laddus!

They are packed with iron, zinc, and protein to deeply feed your hair roots.
Stay tuned, turn on your notifications, and let’s fix that hair fall from the roots! 🥥✨

Instead of intense practice on the weekends, I use this time to reset, take care of my body and give my nervous system some much-needed rest.

A few things from my Saturday morning:
✨ warm water + oil pulling
🌿 tongue scraping + herbal tooth powder
💆🏻‍♀️ face massage & tapping
🧘🏻‍♀️ Jala Neti
🌿 dry brushing + Abhyanga
🫖 herbal tea
🤍 chanting + deep relaxation
🥣 a nourishing breakfast

I have a separate tutorial on YouTube for Abhyanga. You can comment “Abhyanga” for the tutorial.

Nothing complicated or perfect just small rituals that help me slow down and reconnect with myself.

Sometimes your weekend doesn’t need more plans. It just needs a little pause. 🤎

This secret ingredient is traditionally used during monsoon as a simple way to support digestion and add natural sweetness to your routine.

You don’t need to take it in multiple ways ,choose just one that suits you.

☀️ 1. Honey + Lukewarm Water

A simple morning option traditionally used to support digestion and start the day with hydration.

Avoid/modify: if you have acidity or find honey on an empty stomach uncomfortable.

🌿 2. Honey + Amla

Amla is traditionally considered cooling, while honey adds sweetness. This combination is commonly used in traditional routines for skin and hair support.

Best for: people who enjoy amla and tolerate it well.
Avoid: if amla triggers acidity or stomach irritation.

🌱 3. Honey + Fennel Water

Fennel is traditionally used after meals for digestive comfort. Adding a little honey makes it an easy, soothing drink.

Best for: feeling heavy or uncomfortable after meals.
Avoid/modify: if you have a condition where fennel or honey has been advised against by your doctor.

🥛 4. Honey + Fresh Buttermilk + Cumin

Fresh buttermilk with cumin is a traditional digestive drink, particularly when you want something light after a meal.

Important: keep the buttermilk fresh and not ice-cold, and use only a small amount of honey.

🍋 5. Honey + Lime Water

A refreshing way to hydrate, especially when you don’t enjoy plain water.

Avoid: if you have acid reflux, acidity or a sensitive stomach, because lime may aggravate it.

Also, Use honey in lukewarm/room-temperature preparations, not very hot water. If you have acidity or any condition affected by these ingredients, choose accordingly.

How to Slow Down as a Woman 🌿

1. No phone for the first hour after waking up.
Let your mind wake up before the world reaches you.
2. No phone for the last hour before bed.
Give your mind and nervous system time to wind down.
3. Use an alarm clock instead of your phone alarm.
Keep your phone away from your bed.
4. Don’t rush your skincare.
Turn it into a few quiet minutes of caring for yourself.
5. Practice face abhyanga.
Take a few minutes to gently massage your face and slow down.
6. Oil your feet at night.
A simple ritual to signal to your body that the day is coming to an end.
7. Come to bed an hour before you actually want to sleep.
Read, stretch, journal, pray, or simply do nothing.
8. Make time for something you genuinely love.
Not something productive. Just something that brings you joy.
9. Journal for a few minutes every day.
Put your thoughts on paper instead of carrying them around in your head.
10. Stop multitasking during simple moments.
Eat without scrolling. Drink your tea without working. Walk without rushing.
11. Choose nourishing, wholesome food.
Give yourself meals that nourish you instead of eating hurriedly or mindlessly.
12. Play your favourite music.
Cook, get ready, stretch, or simply sit and listen. Let yourself enjoy the moment. 🤍

Your hips don’t just need stretching… they need movement. 🌿

If your hips always feel tight, doing only forward folds won’t magically make them flexible.

Your hips are designed to move in multiple directions. The more you improve your hip mobility, the easier and more comfortable your flexibility practice becomes.

Don’t just stretch your hips. Learn to move them. 🤍

Your tongue is one of the first places that can give you little clues about your health.

If you notice a white coating every morning, don’t just ignore it.

Sometimes it’s simply bacteria and debris that collect overnight. In Ayurveda, a persistent thick coating may also encourage us to pay attention to our digestion.

A few simple habits can help:
🌿 Scrape your tongue every morning.
🥥 Try oil pulling 2–3 times a week.
💧 Stay hydrated.
🍲 Eat freshly cooked, simple meals and avoid overeating for a few days if your digestion feels heavy.

Most importantly, don’t just clean the tongue—observe it.

Our body often gives us gentle signals before it starts asking for attention.

⚠️ If the coating is thick, painful, doesn’t improve with good oral hygiene, or comes with mouth ulcers, fever, or other symptoms, please consult a dentist or doctor.

Small habits. Big difference. 🤍
