A Teacher’s Farewell Programme was organised on 16 September 2026 to honour and appreciate the departing teachers Ms. Namu Norkit Lepcha, Ms. Hiteshi Pradhan & Mr. Tongpang Imchen for their dedication, service, and valuable contributions to the school community.

The programme began with a warm welcome, followed by Bible reading and prayer. The formal welcome address highlighted the teachers’ dedication, patience, kindness, and hard work. The honoured guests were welcomed with Khadas and flowers.

The programme included a variety of cultural performances and heartfelt sharing of memories. Students presented an action song, Lepcha dance, Nepali dance, and fusion dance. Teachers and colleagues also shared their memories and experiences of the departing teachers. A group song and a poem added meaningful and emotional moments to the celebration.

As a special part of the programme, citations, shawls, and cheques were presented to the honoured teachers. The departing teachers were then given an opportunity to share their thoughts, experiences, and memories.

The programme concluded with the Principal’s address, followed by the vote of thanks and the School Song. The event ended with a group photograph of the Principal, guest teachers, and staff.

Overall, the farewell programme was a meaningful occasion filled with gratitude, appreciation, memories, and warm wishes for the departing teachers. It provided a memorable opportunity for the entire school family to express their love and respect for their valuable service.

३५औँ नेपाली भाषा मान्यता दिवस — भाषा, साहित्य र संस्कृतिको उत्सव

Paljor Namgyal Girls वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालयमा आयोजित ३५औँ नेपाली भाषा मान्यता दिवस भाषा, साहित्य, संस्कृति र राष्ट्रिय पहिचानप्रतिको सम्मान एवं गौरव अभिव्यक्त गर्ने विशेष अवसर बन्यो।

कार्यक्रमका विशिष्ट अतिथि श्री Prem Narayan Pradhan ज्यूको गरिमामय उपस्थितिले समारोहलाई अझ विशेष बनायो। उहाँलाई विद्यालयका उपप्रधानाचार्यज्यूद्वारा खदा, पुष्पगुच्छा तथा स्मृति–चिनो प्रदान गरी सम्मान गरिएको थियो।

नेपाली विषयकी PGT शिक्षिका Miss Elvina Tamang ज्यूले स्वागत मन्तव्य प्रस्तुत गर्दै नेपाली भाषाको इतिहास, साहित्यिक समृद्धि तथा यसको संरक्षणमा भावी पुस्ताको भूमिकामाथि प्रकाश पार्नुभयो।

विद्यार्थीहरूले कविता वाचन, नृत्य तथा ‘मुना–मदन’मा आधारित नाट्य प्रस्तुति मार्फत नेपाली भाषा र साहित्यप्रतिको आफ्नो प्रतिभा र सिर्जनशीलता प्रस्तुत गरे।

कार्यक्रमको समापनमा नेपाली विषयका PRT शिक्षक श्री Pradeep Chhetri सरले धन्यवाद ज्ञापन गर्दै विशिष्ट अतिथिज्यू, विद्यालय प्रशासन, शिक्षक–शिक्षिका, विद्यार्थी तथा कार्यक्रम सफल बनाउन सहयोग पुर्‍याउनुहुने सम्पूर्णप्रति हार्दिक कृतज्ञता व्यक्त गर्नुभयो।

🌸 A MOMENT OF PRIDE FOR PNG SCHOOL 🌸

On the auspicious occasion of Tendong Lho Rum Faat 2026, Leezong Lepcha of Paljor Namgyal Girls’ School was honoured with the prestigious Lha Tshering Kunchudyangmu Award for securing the highest marks in Lepcha Language in the Class X CBSE Board Examination 2025.

🏐 CBSE Cluster-1 Volleyball Tournament 2026 🏐

Paljor Namgyal Girls’ School is proud to celebrate the outstanding performance of its U-19 Girls’ Volleyball Team at the CBSE Cluster-1 Volleyball Tournament, held at Kaziranga English Academy, Guwahati, from 4th–6th August 2026.

Competing among 16 participating schools, our team displayed exceptional determination, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.

🔹 First Match: Received a walkover against Holy Flower High School.
🔹 Quarter-Final: Defeated Hindustani Kendriya Vidyalaya, Guwahati, winning both sets.
🔹 Semi-Final: Overcame Manjushree Public School in a closely contested match to secure a place in the final.
🔹 Final: Faced APS Narangi and fought with great spirit until the very end.

🏆 Result: RUNNER-UP

Though the championship title remained just out of reach, our girls made the school proud with their remarkable performance and fighting spirit.

The spirit of Independence Day began on a proud and meaningful note as students and teachers came together to celebrate the occasion and honour the Tiranga.

The National Flag was hoisted by our Vice Principal Sir , Mr. Debdulal Panda, marking the beginning of the day’s celebrations. The moment was followed by the National Song and the National Anthem, filling the gathering with a deep sense of pride, unity and patriotism.

Surrounded by our students and teachers, the flag-hoisting ceremony was a beautiful reminder of the freedom we cherish and the sacrifices that made it possible.

And this is how we began our Independence Day—with the Tiranga flying high, hearts filled with pride, and voices united as one. 🇮🇳

Observance of Partition Horrors Remembrance Day – 14 August

Our school observed Partition Horrors Remembrance Day (PHRD) on 14 August through a special morning assembly and classroom activity, giving the students with a moment to remember the painful experiences of those affected by the Partition of India in 1947.

The morning assembly was conducted by Aditi Pradhan and Priya Sharma of Class XII H. The programme featured a heartfelt speech on the horrors of Partition by Avantika Tamang of Class XI H and Karishma Sharma of XII H, highlighting the suffering, displacement, loss and struggles faced by millions during that difficult period.

This was followed by an emotional poem recitation by Eishna Sharma of Class XII H, which brought out the human stories and memories associated with Partition.

An engaging quiz on Partition was conducted by Angela Bhutia and Easther Singh of Class X A, encouraging students to reflect on and deepen their understanding of this significant chapter in Indian history.

The assembly then observed two minutes of silence in solemn remembrance of those who lost their lives and those whose lives were deeply affected by Partition. It was a quiet moment of reflection, reminding everyone of the importance of peace, compassion and communal harmony.

As part of the observance, a documentary film on the horrors of Partition was also screened in the classrooms. Through historical visuals and personal experiences, the documentary helped students understand the human impact of Partition and connect more deeply with the stories of those who lived through it.

The NEP-stagewise assemblies initiated by PNG School in 2024 have had a highly positive impact on our children. Speaking and expressing themselves among their peers in front of a smaller audience has given them a wonderful opportunity to build confidence and gain lifelong experience. On occasions like Har Ghar Tiranga, these emotions become even stronger.

🌟 Secondary Stage
The Secondary Stage continued the celebration with a meaningful speech on Har Ghar Tiranga, followed by an emotional poem recitation. A lively patriotic dance and the Youth Pledge added to the spirit of the occasion.

The morning beautifully culminated with the National Song and the National Anthem, as the entire school community stood together with pride and respect for our nation. 🇮🇳

Today’s stage-wise assembly was a beautiful blend of speeches, songs, poetry, dance and meaningful messages, bringing the entire school community together in the spirit of patriotism.

The celebrations remind us that the Tiranga is more than a flag—it represents our freedom, unity, sacrifices and collective pride as Indians. 🇮🇳

🇮🇳 Har Ghar Tiranga – Celebrating the Spirit of Patriotism

The spirit of patriotism came alive in our school as we celebrated the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign through a series of meaningful and creative activities.

On 11 August, Dawa Zangmo of Class XI delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the importance of the campaign and reminding us of the pride and responsibility that come with our National Flag.

On the same day, our Middle Section students expressed their love for the nation through a colourful poster-making activity on the theme Har Ghar Tiranga. Their enthusiasm and creativity beautifully reflected the spirit of the campaign.

The celebrations continued on 12 August with a Special Assembly, where our students came together in a true spirit of unity. A heartfelt rendition of “Vande Mataram,” led by our Lepcha students, filled the school with patriotic energy and pride.

The posters created by the students were also displayed in the Preparatory Building, allowing everyone to appreciate their creativity and the powerful message behind their artwork.

It was a beautiful reminder that patriotism is not just about words—it is about the feelings of love, respect, unity and pride that we carry in our hearts for our country. 🇮🇳
